Realme announced their latest frontrunner smartphone, the Pro iteration of the Realme's flagship Realme X50 5G launched back in mainland China last month, this time arriving as Realme X50 Pro 5G globally. The phone will the Shenzhen-based Chinese smartphone manufacturer's first ever global release, bringing their top-end Android smartphone to the international stage, moving out of their major markets like China and India. The all new Realme X50 Pro will also be the first smartphone to launch in India featuring the next generation dual-mode standalone and non-standalone (SA/NSA) capable 5G connectivity under the hood featuring Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 865 Octa-Core chipset based on 7nm FFP speeding at 2.84GHz, that includes Snapdragon X55 Modem-RF system for dual-channel connectivity, and Adreno 650 GPU with fifth generation Qualcomm AI Engine. Where else the vanilla Realme X50 5G originally packed Qualcomm's Snapdragon 765G SoC with integrated 5G modem on board.
The phone is mentioned to be capable of downloading 100 apps from Google Play in under 10 seconds with 10x faster connections compared to older 4G, and even allows users to watch 4K Ultra High Definition movies without buffering. The smartphone ships with an integrated 360° Surround Antenna to fully support WiFi latest version 6, WiFi 5, WiFi 4 and 802.11 a/b/g with "Dual Channel Network Acceleration" and "Dual Wi-Fi Network Acceleration" that can simultaneously connect to faster networks. The phone comes with LPDDR5 Quad-Channel RAM and UFS 3.0+Turbo write+HPB ROM, bringing a combination of 6GB, 8GB and 12GB of RAM variants with 128GB and 256GB of flash memory options.
Realme X50 Pro 5G introduced the new "Vapor Cooling System" with five-dimensional vapor cooling pro technology that consists of dual layer graphite, vapor chamber, thermal silica and copper foil to dissipate heat. Next the handset features a "Tactile Engine Linear Motor" for enhanced 4D gaming vibrations and 65W worth "SuperDart Charge" technology for it's 4200mAh battery unit with support to 18W QC/PD charging and Oppo's 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge integration. From the front we are looking at a 6.44" pill-shaped dual punch hole style Full High Definition Plus Super AMOLED panel with 2400 x 1080 resolution pixels, at 90Hz screen refresh rate and 180Hz of touch sampling rate featuring Realme's "Ultra Smooth Display" in protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and under-screen fingerprint scanner. The secondary selfie camera unit glory a 32MP wide angle 5P lens with Sony's IMX 616 sensor, with 80.4° FoV, f/2.5 aperture and an 8MP ultra wide angle 5P lens with 105° FoV and f/2.2 aperture.
From the primary camera department, we are treated to an AI quad camera module with 20x hybrid zoom, housing a 64MP ultra high resolution wide angle 26mm sensor with 6P lens and Samsung GW1 1/1.72” sensor, coming down the line with 78.6° FoV and aperture of f/1.8. There is a 12MP telephoto sensor with 54.0mm 5P lens and f/2.5 aperture, an 8MP 5P ultra wide angle and macro lens with 15.7mm lens, 119° FoV, f/2.3 aperture and 3 centimeters of focusing distance. Lastly we have a 2MP black and white portrait lens with 88.8° FoV and f/2.4 aperture.
In terms of dimensions, the Realme X50 Pro 5G measures around 158.96 x 74.24 x 8.9 millimeters on scale and weighs about 205 grams. Operating system on the device is based on Android's version 10 topped with the company's custom and latest Realme UI. Other peak features include, Dolby Atmos audio over dual speakers and certified Hi-Res Audio, multi-functional NFC connectivity and UIS Max Video Stabilization. The design highlights Realme's "Multiple Coating Technology," that is customized by SKC, a company from South Korea, where the color film is endured in six processes of coating and curing with 21 days of careful polishing, as well as AG Glass Technology for reducing the emission of light from 8% upto less than 1% compared to ordinary glass.
