Protect yourself from Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The best way to prevent the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic illness is by avoiding your exposure to the virus. Clean your hands often, use soap and water for at least 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol to clean your hands more frequently.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands or after being in the public.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Maintain a safe distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community.
Stay home if you’re sick and take help from local health authorities and medical professionals.
Make sure to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow when you cough or sneeze. Properly dispose the used tissues in the trash, and immediately clean your hands with soap and water or a hand sanitizer.
Wear a face mask if you are sick or if you are around other people (e.g., sharing a room or vehicle) and before you enter a healthcare provider’s office. Do not wear a face mask unless you are caring for someone who is sick.

The phone will be shipped in Ember Gray and Forest Mist Green color options, and is promised to be made available in Europe, North America, Australia, and United Kingdom starting Q2 of this year. The phone includes 64MP quad rear cameras and 24MP front facing snapper.

TCL reveals more details of their 10 series smartphones, launching the new TCL 10 5G for $431


TCL originally announced their all new 10 series Android smartphones portfolio back in January and now the manufacturer officially unveiled all details of their devices from the lineup. First up we have the TCL 10 5G bringing advanced fifth generation connectivity with an affordable price tag of just $431.86. The phone features a 6.53" FHD+ Dotch display, Snapdragon 765G SoC, 64MP quad rear cameras and more. The handset will be made available in select regions globally, starting later this year.

Vivo Cambodia's official Facebook page lists the all new Vivo Y50 smartphone's release in the country. Vivo V19 with dual punch hole cameras appear on global website


Vivo announced the V19 smartphone with single punch hole camera in Indonesia last month, and now we see their global website updated with the latest V19 in Sleek Silver and Gleam Black colors, featuring 32MP dual punch hole cameras on the front. The phone also packs a 48MP quad camera array on the rear, 33W worth Vivo FlashCharge 2.0 support, Snapdragon 712 SoC, 8GB RAM and more. We still have no information on the device's availability nor pricing details.

Apple sources 20 million masks, as well as designs, produces and ships face shields for medical workers across the globe


Apple's CEO, Tim Cook confirms that his company have been able to source over 20 million masks through their supply chain internationally in response to the novel Coronavirus pandemic. Cook also announced in the tweet that, Apple's design, engineering, operations and packaging departments are working closely with suppliers to design, produce and ship face shields for medical workers around the world, and even ensured that these are being donated to places with greatest need.

Pete Lau confirms Snapdragon 865 SoC and a price tag below $1000 for upcoming OnePlus 8 series smartphones


In a recent interview, Pete Lau the CEO of OnePlus confirmed that the forthcoming OnePlus 8 series smartphones will bring 5G connectivity with a more reasonably priced tags to the United States. As devices with 5G have proven to be more expensive compared to fourth generation LTE, he assures that all models from the upcoming flagship fleet will be cost under $1000 and will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor on board.

Lenovo announces free global warranty extension through May 31 as well amid Coronavirus pandemic


Lenovo has also announced free global warranty extension to all customers who own Lenovo/Motorola smartphones, as well as Lenovo PCs, tablets, smart home devices, augmented/virtual reality devices, monitors and accessories whose warranties end between the dates of March 15 and April 30, 2020. The decision comes in regard to the ongoing novel Coronavirus situation, and the extension period will be for 75 days, until May 31, 2020.

Motorola will offer extended global warranty to customers till March 31 due to COVID-19


Motorola Support took their official Twitter handle to announce that the company will offer their customers with Lenovo-Motorola smartphones a global warranty extension till May 31, 2020 on all devices and in-box accessories, whose warranties expire during the lock down period between March 15 and April 30, amid Coronavirus situation and it's continuing widespread around countries.

Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi introduced a new affordable smartband to their wearable portfolio in mainland China, launching the all new Redmi Band. The band will support a 1.08" color display, quick-release wristband, 14 days of battery life and is also 5ATM water resistant. Redmi Band will have 5 professional sports modes, an optical heart rate sensor, sleep cycle monitor and more. The band ships in four colors and will go for pre-orders starting April 9 for just 13.39 USD.

Xiaomi decides to launch their brand new entry-level Android running smartphone, Redmi 8A Dual from India to Indonesia, rebranded as Redmi 8A Pro. The phone will remain the same with identical internals from it's former and will arrive in the country for a price starting at just 94.53 USD for the base 2GB/32GB variant. Motorola announced the latest Moto G8 Power Lite for $182


Motorola announced their latest Moto G8 Power Lite smartphone and will be made available in Mexico and Germany in the coming days, retailing with an affordable price tag around 182.60 USD. The phone will offer middle-ranged internals with a large 5000mAh powered battery, 6.5" Max Vision display and 16MP triple camera system on the rear. You can expect the roll-out of this smartphone to Latin America, Europe, Asia and Australia in the upcoming weeks.

Honor 8A Prime goes official in Russia


Russia will see the new Honor 8A Prime entry-level smartphone sold in the country for a price starting at Russian Ruble equivalent 127.32 USD for the 3GB RAM/64GB ROM option, coming in shades of Midnight Black, Blue and Emerald Green colors. For a limited time the smartphone will be offered with free Huawei AF15 Wireless Monopod Tripod or Honor Band 4 Running or HONOR Sport wireless Bluetooth earphones. The phone is basically the rebranded Honor 8A Pro that was announced back in April of 2019. The newly launched Honor 8A Prime will rock the exact same internal specifications as it's former but will offered in a new color option of Emerald Green hue.

OnePlus 8 series launch event is scheduled on April 14


OnePlus has officially announced the date for launching their all new OnePlus 8 series, bringing "Lead with Speed." The event has been scheduled for April 14 and will go live from 11:00 AM (EDT)/4:00 PM (BST)/8:30 PM (IST). Considering the current situation of novel Coronavirus outbreak across the world and it's continuing widespread, this is going to be a virtual press conference and the event will be live streamed on OnePlus's official YouTube channel and on OnePlus's official website. Like reported in the past, the manufacturer again hints a full 5G lineup for their forthcoming OnePlus 8 series, that is expected to include the vanilla OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Lite and OnePlus 8 Pro, which is now also confirmed to arrive with the 120Hz Fluid Display panel.

Xiaomi announces Mi 10 Lite 5G globally


Xiaomi announces their latest affordable Mi 10 Lite 5G Android-powered smartphone, promising 5G connectivity for everyone. The new Lite version of Mi 10 5G will be their latest addition to the Mi 10 series of devices including the vanilla Mi 10 5G and Mi 10 Pro 5G, that was first introduced in mainland China then followed by their global launch in Europe. The phone will be available in shades of Blue, Grey and White colors and will be sold in the Europe starting this May and will only cost around 386.80 USD for the base option. The phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset on board with integrated X52 modem for dual-mode SA/NSA capable 5G connectivity and packs a Kryo 475 chip processor. The device will also tot LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 internal storage, alongside a 6.57" AMOLED TrueColor water drop style notch display, housing the 16MP front facing secondary snapper. Around the back, we see a 48MP quad camera module and a 4160mAh powered battery, that can fast charge upto 20W and even supports QC3.5 and FFC.

Samsung Galaxy M11 goes official from United Arab Emirates

Samsung finally took the wraps off their latest entry-level smartphone featuring a punch hole display and triple camera module in the United Arab Emirates, officially listing the all new Galaxy M11 on their website for the country. The phone had already made it's appearance in the past, showing off it's design in renders and revealing most of it's internal hardware specifications, and now we have the handset out in the Middle East, which came in as a surprise because Samsung followed a trend of launching these models to the Indian subcontinent first. So the phone will come out of the box with a 1.8GHz Octa-Core processor, 6.4" Infinity-O PLS TFT LCD HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels, housing an 8MP front facing secondary camera and will give 3GB and 4GB of RAM options with 32GB and 64GB of expandable internal storage space, respectively. The phone also features a 13MP primary camera on the rear accompanied by 2MP and 5MP lenses on the array for primary photography. Users will also be treated to a fingerprint reader on the back along with facial reorganization for added security and the phone powers on with a 5000mAh powered large battery that supports 15W fast charging, booting to Android's version 10 topped with Samsung's custom UI. We still have no information on the new Galaxy M11's availability nor pricing details just yet.

Richard Yu assures that Huawei can still meet the market needs and demand for the new P40 series following Coronavirus crisis


Richard Yu, the Consumer Business Group (CBG) CEO of Huawei was interviewed by the press media at launch of their all new P40 flagship series of smartphones, where he assured that the Chinese consumer electronics and telecommunications company can still meet the market needs and demand for their latest smartphones. In a reply to Pocket-lint's correspondent Mike Lowe, Yu made it clear that Huawei had started manufacturing the P40 smartphones from Q4 of 2019, and with four months of scheduled manufacturing, the supply for the P40 has been eased, and is ready now. Despite the slowed down manufacturing this month, and considering the fact that China is the epicenter and one of the worse hit countries by novel Coronavirus, they still see it as under control now,  where the manufacturing and supply chains have recovered and feels they can meet the global demand for the newly debuted devices.
"In the Europe, or other countries, the COVID situation is not like China is today. China (from our point of view) has recovered, but outside China, there are many physical stores that are closed. But our products are ready to ship when the stores are ready. Even during the COVID situation, we were still manufacturing - we had some supply chain issues, but everything has recovered and we can guarantee supply, said Richard Yu."

Nationwide lock down forces Xiaomi to postpone the launch of Mi 10 in India


Manu Kumar Jain, the Global Vice President of Xiaomi and Managing Director of Xiaomi India have announced that his company has suspended the launch their latest Mi 10 smartphone in India due to the ongoing Coronavirus lock down in the country. The brand new Mi 10 handset was originally announced in mainland China back in February, and was scheduled to arrive in India on March 31, but following the announcement of a 21 day lock down in India amid Coronavirus widespread, the Chinese manufacturer is now forced to postpone the launch of the device. Furthermore, the new date for unveiling the Mi 10 in India will be announced in the near future as the phone maker is evaluating the current situation. Apple makes new website and app in partnership with CDC and White House for Coronavirus pandemic


Apple have partnered with CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and the White House-led Coronavirus task force along with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to develop a new website and app that includes a set of resources dedicated for the COVID-19 updates in order to help people stay informed and take all necessary steps to protect their health during the ongoing spread of the deadly Coronavirus. With the new screening tools from the platform, you can answer a series of questions surrounding the risk factors, recent exposure as well as symptoms, where in return you will receive recommendations based on the latest guidelines from CDC about social distancing and self-isolating, how to closely monitor the symptoms, whether or not a test is recommended at this time, and more. The new Apple COVID-19 app is now available for iOS users aged 18 or above and can download from App Store, and for those who are on different operating systems can access their newly launched website.
