Samsung Electronics and LG Innotek have shut down their manufacturing factories in their homeland South Korea due to confirmed Coronavirus cases, as line workers from both Samsung and LG plants have been tested positive for the infection. The Samsung employee was tested positive for the virus on Saturday from their plant in Gumi, the same city from where most of the Coronavirus outbreaks have been reported in the country. Samsung confirmed that their plant will remain closed until Sunday evening for disinfection work, while the space where the infected employee worked will only reopen after Tuesday afternoon. Samsung also mentioned in the released statement that they will implement "all necessary measures" to prevent the spread of the virus.
Now from words of an official representative from LG Innotek, the company's factory in the same South Korean city Gumi will remain closed until Monday for disinfection process, as one of their worker was recently confirmed to be affected by the contagious virus, reported this past Sunday.
