Protect yourself from Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The best way to prevent the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic illness is by avoiding your exposure to the virus. Clean your hands often, use soap and water for at least 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol to clean your hands more frequently.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands or after being in the public.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Maintain a safe distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community.
Stay home if you’re sick and take help from local health authorities and medical professionals.
Make sure to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow when you cough or sneeze. Properly dispose the used tissues in the trash, and immediately clean your hands with soap and water or a hand sanitizer.
Wear a face mask if you are sick or if you are around other people (e.g., sharing a room or vehicle) and before you enter a healthcare provider’s office. Do not wear a face mask unless you are caring for someone who is sick.

Alcatel under TCL announces four new smartphones at CES 2020

Alcatel as we all know is a French consumer electronics manufacturer, owned by the Finland based phone maker Nokia, licensed under the Chinese electronics company TCL Corporation. So basically TCL has officially unveiled their all new fleet of Alcatel devices at the manufacturer's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) trade event, the previous day from the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. The new phones are named 3L, 1S, 1V and 1B by the people from China. Interestingly except the Alcatel 1B, we have already seen the other model names in the past from Alcatel, but this time around these newly made smartphones will come out of the box with a lot more to offer from its predecessors. Lets just quickly take a look at all the product information as well the pricing and availability details of these new releases.

Our latest smartphones, are made for basic value seekers who are looking for the best in essential technology experiences without compromising style, said Peter Lee, General Manager, Global Sales and Marketing at TCL Communication.

 Alcatel 3L

 With the introduction of Alcatel 3L, TCL has debuted their all new design called the Aurora, that is said to bring micro texture and laser etching technology on a shimmering gradient design for the smartphones. You can expect the Alcatel 3L to go one sale in select markets of the European, Asia Pacific and Middle Eastern and African region starting the Q1 of this year, carrying a price tag of $155.

  • Processor - MediaTek MT6762 Octa-Core SoC.
  • Screen - 6.22" High Definition Plus IPS display at 19:9 aspect ratio, called the "Vast display" coming in a water drop style notch panel.
  • RAM - 4GB.
  • ROM - 64GB (expandable via microSD card slot).
  • Primary Camera (Rear) - Triple camera arrangement consists of a 48MP main sensor at f/1.8 aperture, also featuring Samsung's GM1 Quad Bayer sensor integration, which helps in capturing larger 1.6μm images at 12MP with pixel binning technology by combining four pixels into one. There is another 5MP ultra wide angle lens with 115 degrees of field of view (FoV) at f/2.2 aperture. Lastly a 2MP sensor for macro shots with an aperture of f/2.4.

Alcatel 1S


The second phone waiting in line is the their successor to the first generation Alcatel 1S, again making it's way with the same name, and will be available in the select markets of Europe, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa beginning Q1 of this year for $110. The device take along TCL's Aurora design alike the Alcatel 3L.

  • Colors - Agate Green and Power Gray.
Alcatel 1V


Third phone TCL unveiled at CES the previous day from their 2020 edition of affordable Alcatel smartphones was the Alcatel 1V, that will come with lower-end mid-ranged specifications, toting the same water drop style notch display as well a dedicated Google Assistant button. Alcatel 1V will be available in select markets of Latin America, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, from the Q1 of 2020, shipping in at just 88 USD.
  • Processor - MediaTek MT6762D chipset.
  • Screen - 6.22" High Definition Plus "Vast display" with curved sides featuring the 2.5D glass and the water drop style notch in the center .
  • RAM - 2GB.
  • ROM - 32GB (expandable via microSD card slot).
  • Primary Camera (Rear) - Dual lens setup with a 13MP main sensor and a 5MP secondary camera on the back.
  • Battery - 4000mAh.
  • Fingerprint Reader - Positioned on the back.
  • Operating System - Android's version 10.
  • Colors - Prime Black and Pine Green.
Alcatel 1B


Finally we have the Alcatel 1B from TCL that will offer users with Android's operating system 10 based Go Edition on the table with entry-level internals for any beginners in the technology. The phone will keep the dedicated Google Assistant button on board and will be priced around 66 USD. We should see the phone go on sale in select markets of Latin America, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, again starting in Q1 of 2020.
