Protect yourself from Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The best way to prevent the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic illness is by avoiding your exposure to the virus. Clean your hands often, use soap and water for at least 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol to clean your hands more frequently.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands or after being in the public.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Maintain a safe distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community.
Stay home if you’re sick and take help from local health authorities and medical professionals.
Make sure to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow when you cough or sneeze. Properly dispose the used tissues in the trash, and immediately clean your hands with soap and water or a hand sanitizer.
Wear a face mask if you are sick or if you are around other people (e.g., sharing a room or vehicle) and before you enter a healthcare provider’s office. Do not wear a face mask unless you are caring for someone who is sick.

TCL 10L is the most affordable offering from their latest 10 series


TCL 10L will be offered with the manufacturer's NXTVISION technology and dedicated display engine featuring 6.53" FHD+ Dotch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and a 16MP selfie camera in the front punch hole. TCL 10 Pro gives you TCL’s first curved AMOLED display at just $449


Second smartphone from the new TCL 10 series is the TCL 10 Pro, bringing TCL’s first curved 6.47" FHD+ AMOLED screen with an in-display fingerprint reader and NXTVISION technology at just $449. The phone will be shipped in Ember Gray and Forest Mist Green color options, and is promised to be made available in Europe, North America, Australia, and United Kingdom starting Q2 of this year. The phone includes 64MP quad rear cameras and 24MP front facing snapper.

TCL reveals more details of their 10 series smartphones, launching the new TCL 10 5G for $431


TCL originally announced their all new 10 series Android smartphones portfolio back in January and now the manufacturer officially unveiled all details of their devices from the lineup. First up we have the TCL 10 5G bringing advanced fifth generation connectivity with an affordable price tag of just $431.86. The phone features a 6.53" FHD+ Dotch display, Snapdragon 765G SoC, 64MP quad rear cameras and more. The handset will be made available in select regions globally, starting later this year.

TCL was reportedly in plans to debut a never seen before phone with slide-out display at cancelled MWC 2020


Some new images or press renders have surfaced online, courtesy of Jessica Dolcourt, the Section Editor from c|net. Dolcourt shared a few leaked renders of a smartphone or maybe a tablet with a never seen before design, carrying a slide-out display unlike the vanilla foldable smartphones from Samsung, Motorola or Huawei. It's still not clear if this device we see here is a final and commercial product from TCL or just a concept design showing off the next possibilities in the foldable industry by the manufacturer TCL Corporation. The handset was supposedly in line to make it's first ever public appearance from the phone maker at this year's Mobile World Congress trade exhibition, which was cancelled this past week due to the novel Coronavirus concerns. So talking about the device here, at first glance the smartphone appears to be pretty normal and standard in all it's aspects but what make's it exciting is the flexible display, where phone's screen can slide out from it's right side, extending the likely rollable display to turn itself into a tablet. This interesting and contemporary mechanism from TCL should allow it's users to take advantage of the large screen space as seen on a slate, without having to carry a real tablet around. It was also reported that TCL did not respond to any of these comments when the media tried to get in touch with the company.
It's a design I've never seen before, and that makes the concept exciting. Journalists would have seen this expandable phone at Mobile World Congress this month. The world's largest mobile show was canceled in response to health concerns regarding the global spread of Coronavirus, said c|net's trusted sources.
In terms of built, the newest phone features a curved display on both parallel sides from the front, also traiting narrow bezels or frames on top forehead and bottom chin, bringing a pill-shaped punch hole style front facing secondary camera sensors placed to the top right corner of the handset. The expandable mechanism for the display works with a break in the chassis on the right side, from where you can pull the respective portion apart to expose  the rollable-flexible panel that is expected to be housed on the left side of the smartphone. When slided-out the phone appears to be large enough to work as a conventional tablet, offering more screen space for multitasking on the move. From the back the slide-out panel is supported by a frame that also moves back and forth with the display, which can indeed make the phone a bit thicker compared to normal smartphones in the present trend. Apart from the rousing display, the phone will also bring a quad primary camera module on the rear left side (sitting on the portion that slides-out) with lenses arranged vertically with a LED flash on the bottom. The hardware buttons for volume and power controls are also positioned on the same side. However with MWC off the calendar for this year, we have no clue when the manufacturer will finally show off the device formally to their global audience.

Sony and TCL Corporation cancels their MWC press conferences as well


Last week we heard about ZTE and LG cancelling their upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) press conferences in concern over the novel Coronavirus outbreak, considering the global emergency declared by the World Health Organisation (WHO) on the rising situation of the epidemic. Today we see a similar move from Sony and TCL as well. Sony have issued a new statement, announcing that, they have "taken the difficult decision to withdraw from exhibiting and participating at MWC 2020 in Barcelona, Spain." According to the manufacturer, they are closely monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak across the world and have decided to cancel their plans on attending the exhibition, giving "the utmost importance on the safety and well-being of our customers, partners, media and employees." Evidently, Sony will still go ahead with their launch event as a livestream at 8:30 AM (local time) as planned on February 24, via their official Xperia YouTube channel.

 As for the partially state-owned Chinese multinational electronics company, TCL Corporation, they have also confirmed the cancellation and withdrawal from exhibiting in their scheduled MWC 2020 global press event, which was planned for February 22, due to the concerns over the widespread of the virus. The manufacturer shared the latest update on their official Twitter handle, however letting us know that, the decision from the phone maker will not impact their MWC 2020 plans and will still debut their latest mobile devices and showcase them at their booth in Hall 3, Stand 3D11 between the dates of February 24 and February 27. Other companies who have joined the list are Amazon, Ericsson, and NVIDIA, who also dropped their MWC activities, keeping the present situation in mind.

Alcatel under TCL announces four new smartphones at CES 2020


Alcatel as we all know is a French consumer electronics manufacturer, owned by the Finland based phone maker Nokia, licensed under the Chinese electronics company TCL Corporation. So basically TCL has officially unveiled their all new fleet of Alcatel devices at the manufacturer's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) trade event, the previous day from the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. The new phones are named 3L, 1S, 1V and 1B by the people from China. Interestingly except the Alcatel 1B, we have already seen the other model names in the past from Alcatel, but this time around these newly made smartphones will come out of the box with a lot more to offer from its predecessors. Lets just quickly take a look at all the product information as well the pricing and availability details of these new releases.

You can expect the Alcatel 3L to go one sale in select markets of the European, Asia Pacific and Middle Eastern and African region starting the Q1 of this year, carrying a price tag of $155.

Third phone TCL unveiled at CES the previous day from their 2020 edition of affordable Alcatel smartphones was the Alcatel 1V, that will come with lower-end mid-ranged specifications, toting the same water drop style notch display as well a dedicated Google Assistant button. Alcatel 1V will be available in select markets of Latin America, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, from the Q1 of 2020, shipping in at just 88 USD.

We should see the phone go on sale in select markets of Latin America, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, again starting in Q1 of 2020.

TCL unveils Idol X and Boom Band



The Chinese multinational electronics company, TCL Corporation has introduced an Android device named Idol X with a combo of Bluetooth activity tracker dubbed as Boom Band.

 Idol X will come out of the box with the Octa-Core MT6592 chipset clocked at 2.0GHz processor, 5-inches IPS screen with 1080p display, 2GB RAM, 13 megapixels primary camera and 2,500mAh powered battery.

 The Boom Band acts like a proximity alarm in case you have left your device behind. The device has a built-in application that track your performance. No news about the availability of the handset outside the Chinese markets yet. This device will cost you around $330.
