A while ago, we saw LG announcing the official details of their brand new smartwatch, G Watch R, and now we have Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. doing the same, taking a step ahead and announcing their own latest addition of wearable smartwatch, named as the new Gear S. But, this time around there are a number of changes when comparing both the new devices, each from their design to the hardware and software capabilities. So, the just released gadget from the hands of Samsung is reported as the next generation smart wearable from the South Korean's, which will essentially bring a whole smartphone experience to your wrist's and has got support to 3G connectivity on board.

So, when taking a look at it's design and construction, we will notice an elegantly curved two-inches Super AMOLED screen of 360 x 480 resolution display and the premium durable flexible band/strap, that fits well around the user’s wrist, also featuring conversation view and condensed font, you can also can reply to any incoming messages from the Gear S smartwatch itself, taking advantage of the new onscreen keyboard, or by with the on board S voice functionality. Using this new Samsung product, customers can seamlessly make and receive calls directly from their wrist and even get calls forwarded from their desired smartphones. Pairing with a smartphone can be done in seconds with the built-in Bluetooth 4.1 antenna.
Looking at it from the software side, the Samsung branded Gear S is always at your service providing relevant information through widgets and combined notification boards over the system. Some of it's new features include, the turn-by-turn pedestrian navigation by HERE Maps, a 24-hour news and views service by The Financial Times, dubbed as fastFT,that works well enough with advanced-reading technology from Spritz, also bringing in your important social media notifications from applications like Facebook. Gear S is also written as a perfect match as you personal health and fitness companion, coming out of the box with multi-sensors, like accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, heart-rate, ambient light sensor, UV sensor, barometer and GPS, offering you a list of Samsung's proprietary S Health features.
For the remaining list of specs, there you have it. The newly unveiled Samsung Gear S will embrace 900/2100 or 850/1900 (3G) and 900/1800 or 850/1900 (2G) network support, a Dual-Core processor, with clock speeds of 1.0GHz, running of Samsung's own Tizen based wearable platform, IP67-certified dust and water resistance, Samsung services includes list of Gear applications, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, A-GPS/Glonass, Bluetooth 4.1 radios, USB 2.0, 512 megabytes of Random Access Memory and four gigabytes internal storage, over a 300mAh powered battery.
The company today morning also sanctioned the new Samsung Gear Circle, a smartphone accessory that comes featuring a magnetic lock, that actually clasps around your neck when not in use. You can pair the unit with your smartphones through Bluetooth, attributing a 180mAh powered battery and vibrate functions to notify the user of any incoming calls and other notifications, allowing you to easily receive calls, listen to music, and even make voice commands.
Lastly, the new products will be available from Samsung internationally, starting in October through a number of selected retailers, online e-commerce websites and from different carriers.
