Sony had announced a new smartphone in Taiwan, yesterday, dubbed as the Xperia Z2a. The new Android running smartphone is a renamed version of the company's Xperia ZL2 handset in Japan, which was announced past in late March. The new phone from Sony will be the first ever smartphone from the manufacturer to take advantage of Taiwan's full-band fourth generation LTE 700MHz, 900MHz and 1800MHz network capabilities. Like other new Sony smartphone, this new kid from the Xperia family will be too IP55/IP58-certified, making it dust and water resistant up to 1 meter and for 30 minutes.
Xperia Z2a will sport a Quad-Core Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 801 processor, clocked at 2.3GHz and Adreno 330 Graphics Processing Unit, 5-inches TRILUMINOS IPS LCD screen of 1920 x 1080 resolution display, featuring Sony's Mobile Bravia Engine 2 and X-Reality mobile picture engine marked at 440 pixels-per-inch, 16 gigabytes of internal mass storage (expandable via microSD card slot), three gigabytes of Random Access Memory, 20.7 megapixels primary camera on the back with CMOS 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS lens and LED flash, that's capable of capturing Ultra High Definition videos and on the front sits a 0.3 megapixels VGA secondary front facing snapper. The phone will attribute Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, Near Field Communication and 4G connectivity functions, along with a 3,000mAh powered battery and running Android's version 4.4 KitKat with proprietary Xperia finished User Interface over the hood.
The new device from Sony is said to launch in Taiwan soon, which can also be purchased from countryside carriers like, Chunghwa Telecom, FarEasTone and Taiwan Mobile. Sony Xperia Z2a will cost you 18900 New Taiwan Dollars, that is around 633 United States Dollars, coming in Black, White and Turquoise color options. According to reports, the new phone don't seems to expand it's market to other countries, including United States.
