High Tech Computer Corporation or HTC's new smartphone is here from their existing Desire line-up of affordable Android running smartphones, named as Desire 616. The handset you see from the above and below official Press shots have already made it to the web, back in March, where we first saw the phone leak in renders of the certification filing of China's certification process, TENAA alongside the rumored list of internals and then came in several real life hands-on photographs of the talked about smartphone.
The newly announced phone is made out of polycarbonate chassis painted with glossy tints, which will join other budget friendly Desire smartphones from the Taiwanese company and will be available in White and Grey color options, surprisingly not listed in Red shade as seen before. The phone will be initially made available in China, followed by other Asian countries and Russia, where there won't be any meaning in hoping for the smartphone to come to United States.
HTC's new Desire 616 will come out of the box with a Octa-Core MediaTek processor, with clock speed of 1.4GHz, five-inches High Definition screen of 1280 x 720 resolution display, four gigabytes of internal mass storage (expandable via microSD card slot up to 32 GB), one gigabyte of Random Access Memory, eight megapixels primary camera with LED flash light and 1080p video capture capability, a two megapixels secondary front facing snapper, that can shoot videos at 720p. For connectivity, the phone will have Bluetooth 4.0, dual-SIM (regular SIM + microSIM card slot) over 3G UMTS and HSPA network support, a 2,000mAh powered battery and runs Android's version 4.2 Jelly Bean with Sense User Interface on top.
The new Desire 616 phone will feature One 2014 (M8) like on-screen navigation buttons and other HTC's software features like BlinkFeed homescreen and more. The device measures about 142 x 71.9 x 9.15 millimeters in dimensions and weighs around 150 grams on mass.
