The Stateside carrier Verizon Wireless and Finnish multinational manufacturer Nokia has gone official announcing the long term rumored, leaked and talked about smartphone, the Lumia Icon.
Well, if you don't remember which phone we are talking about, it is the very same Nokia Lumia 929, that showed up in leaked real life images and casing accessories, last year. Today the 'Big Red' mobile network operator from United States has officially introduced the handset to the public, on contract basis. Now from the unit's design, Nokia again makes it off with polycarbonate chassis as usual, but with smooth premium aluminium ring around the edges of the smartphone, that will give you a different experience from other Lumia branded devices.
So, as suggested from our earlier reports, the new Verizon Nokia Lumia Icon will come out of it's box with a Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, five-inches Full High Definition OLED screen of 1080p resolution display, marked at 441 pixels-per-inch, 32 gigabytes of internal mass memory option with seven gigabytes of free SkyDrive cloud storage, two gigabytes of Random Access Memory (RAM), 20 megapixels primary camera of PureView technology and Carl Zeiss lens with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and dual-tone LED flash light, Bluetooth 4.0 and wireless charging capabilities on board, 2,420mAh powered battery and Windows Phone 8 GDR3 operating system with Nokia Lumia Black over the hood.
According to reads from the source words, the Lumia Icon seems to be an exclusive for US markets, that will arrive shortly in the Verizon Wireless Stores, where you will be able to grab one for $199.99 on a two-year contract, starting from 20th of this month.
