Another alleged source within Apple reports that the manufacturer is nearly two months behind the scheduled production of iPhones due to the novel Coronavirus outbreak across several countries, that has severely affected Apple's production facilities including Foxconn's factories in mainland China. We also understand that, repair parts could take about 2 to 4 weeks to become available, while the unit replacements may take around 5 to 8 weeks to ship to authorized service centers. However Apple is reportedly offering loaner program to customers under warranty, by lending them an iPhone while you wait for repair or replacement from the phone maker. This is only applicable to customers who own the iPhone 6s or devices announced later. Apple is even said to cover the costs if the warranty for your devices expires within this period.
