Oppo has officially launched their latest middle-ranged A31 smartphone in the Republic of Indonesia. The handset will be offered to the budget-friendly consumers of Indonesia, build in a combination of glass and polycarbonate frame, packing a triple camera module on the back and a water drop notch display on the front.
The smartphone arrives in Fantasy White and Mystery Black color options, priced at Indonesian Rupiah equal to 190.26 USD for the 4GB RAM/128GB ROM (expandable) variant. The phone is currently up for grabs in the country through online retailers Lazada, Shopee Mall, tokopedia, JD.ID, blibli.com and akulaku. Oppo haven't really spoken a lot about their newest release in Indonesia, so lets quickly take a look at the brand new handset's internal hardware specifications.
The phone comes out of the box with a MediaTek MT6765V Helio P35 Octa-Core chipset built on the 12nm process technology with 4x Cortex-A53 cores running at 2.3GHz and 4x Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, alongside a PowerVR GE8320 GPU under the hood. On top, the Oppo A31 will feature a 6.5" High Definition Plus display at 720 x 1600 resolution pixels with 83.0% screen-to-body ratio (20:9 ratio) and 269 pixel-per-inch density. As aforementioned the device will embrace 4GB of RAM and 128GB of flash memory (further expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot). Now in terms of cameras, the main triple camera lineup will bring a 12 megapixels primary shooter at f/1.8 wide aperture and PDAF. There also a 2 megapixels 1/5.0" macro lens at f/2.4 aperture, featuring 27mm of focus distance and 1.75µm pixel size. Lastly there is another 2 megapixels 1/5.0" depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture and similar 1.75µm sized pixel. On the front notch houses an eight megapixels secondary front facing snapper for selfies and video calls. The camera features include 1080p FHD video recording at 30 frame-per-second, hardware-based portrait bokeh, macro mode, "Dazzle Color Mode" and AI beautification.
For power, you are treated to a 4230mAh powered Li-Po battery in house and turning on the phone, the device will boot Android's version 9.0 Pie with ColorOS version 6.1 on top. Connectivity on board is handled by 4G LTE support over dual nano-SIM slots, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, WiFi Direct and Bluetooth Low Energy version 5.0 A2DP. For location tracking the Oppo A31 is equipped with GPS, A-GPS and BDS, while sensors include Accelerometer, Proximity, Compass and finally a fingerprint scanner for biometrics, positioned on the rear of the smartphone. The unit measures 63.9 x 75.5 x 8.3 mm in dimensions and weighs around 180 grams on scale.
