After all the anticipation and teasing, the Shenzhen based Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus have finally introduced their Concept One to the world officially from the company's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) event, live from Wynn Luxury Hotel in Las Vegas, United States. The new Concept One smartphone from the manufacturer is here to celebrate their six years of success in the industry globally.
The all new handset from OnePlus is here in partnership with McLaren again, as we speculated in our first report on the device and as previously chaffed, the phone will come with the color-shifting glass technology or electrochromic glass technology that can change the transparency levels of the glass covering the camera lenses on it's back. The same electrochromic glass technology has been used in McLaren cars for their sunroof that can go from transparent to opaque in a fraction of a second. Also according the phone maker, the electrochromic glass can act as an ND (Neutral Density) filter when capturing pictures, allowing the user to block the amount of light entering the optics of the camera module. The whole action of switching from tinted glass to transparent will only take 0.7 seconds at a touch of a button, as mentioned my OnePlus.
From the front the phone features a pop-up selfie camera, with an all-screen curved display featuring 2.5D curved glass. Aside the triple lenses arrangement for primary photography, OnePlus covered the back of the device with soft leather, glorying the stitching design in the McLaren inspired Papaya Orange color. The sides or the chassis are made of PVD treated aluminum, giving the Concept One the glamorous looks in glossy gold shade. Just as the name mentions, the Concept One is a concept smartphone from OnePlus so we suggest all the OnePlus fans to keep up their patience as it would take a while for the people from China to start mass producing and commercializing the product for retails sales. The manufacturer have't disclosed any detailed information regarding the newly launched smartphone's internal specifications yet but according to the hands-on reports from the reviewers we maybe be looking at a OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition with support to dual-mode SA/NSA 5G connectivity.
But we never know what's in plans for OnePlus, so lets just leave you thinking there, as they may launch this new model soon for the global market, or maybe not.
