Finally the Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 5G are here from the Beijing based electronics company. We have already seen the manufacturer take the Chinese social media website, Weibo several times in the past to share posters and tease the launch of their latest smartphones, and now we have them here formally in both, the standard variant as well as in a 5G version as leaked and reported previously. The latest offerings from Xiaomi will be available in their home land, featuring independent liquid cooling technology with copper tubes covering the processor. Unfortunately we don't hear anything about their international availability yet. The vanilla Redmi K30 will be up for grabs in the country starting December 12, while the Redmi K30 5G will only begin it's sale starting first month of the new year.
The all new Xiaomi made Redmi K30 5G will ship in Blue, Red, Purple, and a White color option that is exclusive to the 5G iteration, coming in at 6GB RAM/64GB variant for $284.16, 6GB RAM/128GB for $326.80, 8GB RAM/128GB for $369.45 and 8GB RAM/256GB for $412.09. While the normal 4G LTE supported model of Redmi K30 will be more affordable making it in similar storage options as the K30 5G, priced at $227.30 for the base 6GB RAM/64GB option, $241.51 for 6GB RAM/128GB, $269.94 for 8GB RAM/128GB and lastly $312.59 for 8GB RAM/256GB adaption, packed in Blue, Red and Purple shades.
Xiaomi has powered their newest smartphone in town with Qualcomm's latest Octa-Core Snapdragon 765G SoC based on 7nm architecture, that has also got integrated 5G modem for dual-mode SA/NSA connectivity and Adreno 620 GPU unit on the Redmi K30 5G, while the vanilla option ships in 8nm architecture based Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset and Adreno 618 GPU. There a 6.67" HDR10 supported LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, toting refresh rate of 120Hz, under protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The panel also features a pill-shaped punch hole style cutout for dual cameras on the front, that brings a 20MP secondary front facer coupled by 2MP depth sensor. In the back you will find a quad camera arrangement, traiting a 64 megapixels primary shooter in charge with Sony's IMX686 sensor, an eight megapixels ultra wide angel lens with a field of view of 120 degrees, another five megapixels macro sensor and two megapixels depth sensor. The standard Redmi K30 will see a downgraded 2MP macro sensor instead of the 5MP found on the pricier brother.
The phones will also pack a 4500mAh battery with support to 30W fast charging on the 5G variant and 27W fast charging on the normal version. The devices will run Android's version 10 with MIUI 11 on top and carries a fingerprint scanner on the side that also acts as the power button. Additionally the Redmi K30 5G will also hold up dual-frequency GPS and Bluetooth 5.1, which won't make it to the Redmi K30 as it will support A-GPS and Bluetooth version 5.0.
