Alcatel-Lucent, the French based global telecommunications equipment company today has announced a new phablet smartphone in the Kingdom of Thailand, at their event at Mix Restaurant & Bar, Siam Center, Bangkok, dubbed as the brand new Alcatel One Touch Flash. The new handset is said to take on their competitor from the market, which is the Chinese Xiaomi made Redmi Note, that was announced back in March, earlier this year. The new addition from the existing One Touch Android fleet is model named as 6042D, and should be available in the countryside markets by the 8th of this month, September. Unfortunately, Alcatel haven't announced the pricing details yet, but is will be priced very reasonably, that will not empty your pockets.
So, the new Android 4.4 KitKat running phablet will come out of the box with a Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592M processor with Cortex-A7 Central Processing Unit, clocked at 1.4GHz, 5.5-inches High Definition screen of IPS technology and 1280 x 720 resolution pixels, eight gigabytes of built-in mass storage (expandable via microSD card slot), one gigabyte of Random Access Memory, 13 megapixels primary camera on the back with LED flash light and a five megapixels secondary front facing snapper, with a "Beauty" mode for better looking selfies of yourselves. The Alcatel One Touch Flash also packs in the new Hotknot feature, which is a Near Field Communication (NFC) kind of attribute developed by the chipset maker itself, MediaTek. Flash has also got 3G network support of dual-SIM connectivity and a 3,200mAh powered battery alike the Xiaomi made Redmi Note. The unit measures around 152.1 x 76.2 x 8.1 millimeters in dimensions.
And now for the interesting part, the company have animated a new promotion video and got listed it on their official Thailand centered YouTube channel for their new handset, where they have rendered a new animated superhero character, named "Flash" after their new phablet. So, here the Alcatel One Touch Flash is getting involved in a fight with another animated smartphone superhero, which is intentionally the aforementioned Xiaomi Redmi Note, featuring the MIUI on board.
