Protect yourself from Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The best way to prevent the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic illness is by avoiding your exposure to the virus. Clean your hands often, use soap and water for at least 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol to clean your hands more frequently.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands or after being in the public.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Maintain a safe distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community.
Stay home if you’re sick and take help from local health authorities and medical professionals.
Make sure to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow when you cough or sneeze. Properly dispose the used tissues in the trash, and immediately clean your hands with soap and water or a hand sanitizer.
Wear a face mask if you are sick or if you are around other people (e.g., sharing a room or vehicle) and before you enter a healthcare provider’s office. Do not wear a face mask unless you are caring for someone who is sick.

Verizon Wireless announces Brigadier by Kyocera

Along with the new LG G Vista smartphone, yesterday the United States based wireless service provider Verizon had also announced a new rugged/brawny smartphone named, Brigadier by Kyocera. If you remember, we had already seen the smartphone leak in Press renders, back in April for the same network provider.

So you know, Kyocera is an multinational electronics and ceramics manufacturer from Japan, mostly known for making tough and well built smartphones. The company's latest smartphone for the Stateside's largest telecommunication network is the new Brigadier. Well, this is one of those Android smartphones to feature Sapphire Shield display, that is said to be a Verizon exclusive, which is said to make it's way on Apple's upcoming iPhone 6. Talking about the new Sapphire Shield display, it's a virtually scratch proof glass panel that also protects the handset's screen from first-drops onto rocks or outcrop, as it has already been proved in tests to likely not break or shatter, compared to other strengthened/toughened glass panels.

The smartphone comes with IP68-certification ratings on board for dust (IP6x) and water resistance (IPx5, IPx8), making it waterproof for up to 6 feet under water for up to half an hour or 30 minutes. You can also use the Kyocera Brigadier smartphone at extreme situations, as it packs the United States Department of Defense Military Standard 810G on top to protect your phone from dust, shock, vibration, temperature extremes, blowing heavy rain, low atmosphere pressure, solar radiation, salt fog, humidity and even water immersion.

Also with the new Glove+ and Wet Touchscreen Operation attributes built-in, you'll be able to check your notifications, messages, emails, and even make calls, etc. For navigation, there are dedicated hardware physical button on the front and sides for quick access to speakerphone, camera and other important features. You can additionally find the manufacturer's own Smart Sonic Receiver sound technology, helping it's users hear the smartphone clearly while wearing on a helmet or ear protection. The two front sided speakers have a maximum volume of 100dB.

So, the new broad-shouldered Brigadier by Kyocera comes out of the box with a 1.4GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 4.5-inches High Definition screen of 1280 x 720 resolution pixels, with improved display readability in bright outdoor settings, 16 gigabytes of on board mass storage (expandable via microSD card slot), two gigabytes of Random Access Memory, eight megapixels primary shooter with LED flash light and a two megapixels front facing secondary snapper for self portraits, Bluetooth 4.0 + LE/EDR and Bluetooth Smart Ready, Near Filed Communication (NFC), WiFi a/b/g/n/ac 2.4GHz/5GHz, 4G LTE, CDMA, GSM and UMTS network connection support, Qi–enabled Wireless Charging capability, a 3,100mAh powered battery and runs Android's version 4.4 KitKat with proprietary User Interface on top.

The new Kyocera made Brigadier will come in Black tinge and sets you back for $99.99 on a two year agreement or for $19.99 monthly on Verizon's Edge tariff. The carrier also offers the phone for customers at a full price of $399.99, if you wish to go contract free.
