HTC has updated their middle-ranged handsets line-up with the new, previously, rumored and leaked Desire 8, now officially named as the HTC Desire 816. The newly debuted Android powered smartphone will come in a wide variety of color options, made out of polycarbonate chassis. The new phablet features HTC's Zoe and has also got dual-stereo BoomSound speakers on the front.
The Desire 816 will come out of the box with a Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, clocked at 1.6GHz, a Adreno 305 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), 5.5-inches High Definition screen of 1280 x 720 resolution display, eight gigabytes of internal mass storage (expandable via microSD card slot up to 128 gigabytes), 1.5 gigabytes of Random Access Memory (RAM), a 13 megapixels main camera on the back with a LED flash light, five megapixels secondary camera on the front, Bluetooth 4.0 and WCDMA, HSPA+ and 4G LTE network support on board,2,600mAh powered battery and runs Android with the company's own Sense 5.5 User Interface over the hood.
The phone comes in Dark Blue, Orange, White, Mild Green, Grey and Black color options, measured at 156.6 x 78.7 x 7.99 millimeters in dimensions and weighs 165 grams on mass. The HTC Desire 816 will come to the store shelves by early April.
