Sprint and ZTE announces a new successor model to their previous Optik, now named as Optik 2 3G tablet. The United Sates based carrier will sell the new slate from the Chinese multinational manufacturer on a contract.
The unit will come shipped in the same old traditional cheap plastic chassis, sporting really bigger bezels on the either sides parallel. Also the maker have gone much slimmer in it's design, than what we saw previously with the ZTE Optik.
This time around, the Optik 2 will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor running at 1.2GHz, a rather small six-inches screen of 1024 x 600 resolution display, eight gigabytes of internal mass memory (expandable via microSD card slot), one gigabyte of Random Access Memory (RAM), five megapixels primary camera on the back with LED flash light with a two megapixels front facer. The tablet will also accompany a 3rd generation SIM card slot for connectivity, all powered by the same 4,000mAh battery and features Android's version 4.1 Jelly Bean on board.
The ZTE Optik 2 3G tablet is now up for orders from the Stateside carrier Sprint, at a price of $29.99 per month on a two years contract, that will basically fire on the network's 3G data.
