Remember us talking about ASUS's teaser video for CES 2014? The video that basically indicated what the Taiwanese are bringing to the Las Vegas Exhibition this year. As said, the company goes official with Zenphone 4, 5 and 6-inches screen sizes.
First up, the Zenphone 4, as you see above, packs a Dual-Core Intel Atom Z2520 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, a four-inches TN TFT screen of WVGA 800 x 480 resolution display, a gigabyte of Random Access Memory (RAM), a five megapixels primary camera on the back, dual-SIM support and sports 3G DC-HSPA+ and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. The ASUS Zenphone runs Android version 4.3 Jelly Bean with a skinned user interface on top. The handset come in Blue, Yellow, Red, White and Gold color options, where it measures 124.4 x 61.4 x 11.2 millimeters in dimensions and weighs 115 grams.
Next up, we have a slightly bigger smartphone than the Zenphone 4, the new Zenphone 5, which is the middle option from the newly announced trio by ASUS.
Coming out of the box with a Dual-Core Intel Atom Z2580 chipset clocked at 2.0GHz, as name suggests, a five-inches IPS LCD screen with 720p resolution display, where the capacitive touch sensor built-in can sense the panel with gloves or even a pen as the stylus for the device. The device features four gigabytes of mass memory (expandable via microSD card slot), 1 gigabyte of RAM, a eight megapixels 'PixelMaster' camera on the back with LED flash light scoring f/2.0 aperture rate, capable of recording 1080p videos, two megapixels front facer, supports dual-SIM card slots, 3G networks with DC-HSPA+ and Bluetooth 4.0 from connectivity department, a 2,050mAh powered battery and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with ASUS's own UI. The Zenphone 5 will be available in Black, White, Red, Blue and Gold color options, the unit measures 148.2 x 72.8 x 10.3 millimeters in dimensions and weights around 140 grams.
The Taiwanese manufacturer also thinks big with it's announcement of a phablet to the line-up, named Zenphone 6.
Coming out in two models for the markets, with the same Dual-Core Intel Atom Z2580 SoC running at 2.0GHz, a six-inches large screen of 720 resolution display with capacitive touch sensitivity, available in 8 and 16 gigabytes of mass memory options (expandable via microSD card slot), 1 and 2GB RAM options for respective models, a 13 megapixels 'PixelMaster' camera with LED flash, capable of shooting 1080p videos right out of it's lens and a two megapixels front facer. The new ASUS phablet also features SonicAudio and supports dual-SIM capabilities with 3G networks with DC-HSPA+ and Bluetooth 4.0 for highlights of it's connectivity, a large 3,240mAh powered battery and operates on same Android version 4.3 Jelly Bean skinned with the company's UI, where all the three can be upgraded to 4.4 KitKat in the coming days. The Zenphone 6 will come out in Black, White, Gold and Red color options measures 166.9 x 84.3 x 9.9 millimeters in dimensions and masses 200 grams.
You'll be able to grab each of these handset's at an affordable price of $100 for the Zenphone 4, $150 for Zenphone 5 and $200 for Zenphone 6, all off-contract. There is still no word on the units availability.
