Samsung opened their largest smartphone manufacturing facility in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India back in the summer of 2018, that can produce up to 120 million units per year. But as the novel Coronavirus outbreak continues to spread across the country with several states in India facing a complete lockdown, the government of India has requested Samsung to call-off all their operations at their Noida factory at least until March 25. Starting March 23, Samsung have stopped all it's operations at their facility in India and have asked their employees under the research and development department, as well as from sales and marketing offices across India to work from home.
"Some key critical services, such as customer service, will work with limited staff."
We also learned that LG will shut down their two factories in India following the orders of the government, until the end of this month.
