AT&T is now responding the novel Coronavirus pandemic as well by pledging to FCC's “Keep Americans Connected” pledge. Like Verizon Wireless, even AT&T have announced to not terminate their services provided to any wireless, home phone, residential broadband or small business customers as well as to waive all late payment fees incurred due to the financial hardships faced during the Coronavirus outbreak. AT&T will also keep their public WiFi hotspots open and accessible to all Americans across the country. In addition, the company made it clear that, the health and safety of their customers and employees are their top priorities and have taken all appropriate preventative measures for the well-being of their employees in customer-facing roles. AT&T have asked employees to work from home if their roles allow until further notice, even offering a limited, excused paid time off for anyone who may need to be self-quarantined showing COVID-19 symptoms.
As a global company, we have extensive experience in planning for and responding to a wide variety of situations around the world. Our teams are closely monitoring developments in the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and are taking the appropriate steps – consistent with CDC and WHO recommendations – to help maintain the ongoing health and safety of our employees and customers.Source: AT&T
