Protect yourself from Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The best way to prevent the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic illness is by avoiding your exposure to the virus. Clean your hands often, use soap and water for at least 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol to clean your hands more frequently.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands or after being in the public.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Maintain a safe distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community.
Stay home if you’re sick and take help from local health authorities and medical professionals.
Make sure to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow when you cough or sneeze. Properly dispose the used tissues in the trash, and immediately clean your hands with soap and water or a hand sanitizer.
Wear a face mask if you are sick or if you are around other people (e.g., sharing a room or vehicle) and before you enter a healthcare provider’s office. Do not wear a face mask unless you are caring for someone who is sick.

Ubuntu Touch drops support for three Nexus branded devices

One of the latest mailing list form the Canonical Ubuntu-phone comes in with a disappointing news, stating the support pull-down of their operating system Ubuntu Touch for Samsung Galaxy Nexus (maguro), Nexus 10 (manta) and 2012 Edition of ASUS manufactured Google Nexus 7 (grouper).

The main reason behind this action was to concentrate more on their upcoming release 14.04 for phones and tablets with Android 4.4 KitKat. Also the software engineering costs for developing their free operating system that mattered.

We also heard that the primary engineering platforms for the coming month will be working on specific emulators based on armhf and x86, that will basically bring the portables and desktops below the similar codes. The support for the latest Google flagship Nexus 5 will be relatively easy once Canonical's people are done with Android's version 4.4 KitKat and meeting up with their financial needs, said Ubuntu's exec, Alexander Sack in the mailing.

Ubuntu Touch from now will only be officially available for LG made Google Nexus 4 (mako) smartphone and ASUS crafted 2013 Edition of Nexus 7 (razor) tablet. But folks loaded with Ubuntu Touch OS on the unsupported devices, you needn't worry, as it is not going to stop working from the moment, you will just not receive the latest updates or bug-fixes.
