The best way to prevent the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic illness is by avoiding your exposure to the virus. Clean your hands often, use soap and water for at least 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol to clean your hands more frequently.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands or after being in the public.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Maintain a safe distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community.
Stay home if you’re sick and take help from local health authorities and medical professionals.
Make sure to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow when you cough or sneeze. Properly dispose the used tissues in the trash, and immediately clean your hands with soap and water or a hand sanitizer.
Wear a face mask if you are sick or if you are around other people (e.g., sharing a room or vehicle) and before you enter a healthcare provider’s office. Do not wear a face mask unless you are caring for someone who is sick.

Apple makes new website and app in partnership with CDC and White House for Coronavirus pandemic


Apple have partnered with CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and the White House-led Coronavirus task force along with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to develop a new website and app that includes a set of resources dedicated for the COVID-19 updates in order to help people stay informed and take all necessary steps to protect their health during the ongoing spread of the deadly Coronavirus. With the new screening tools from the platform, you can answer a series of questions surrounding the risk factors, recent exposure as well as symptoms, where in return you will receive recommendations based on the latest guidelines from CDC about social distancing and self-isolating, how to closely monitor the symptoms, whether or not a test is recommended at this time, and more. The new Apple COVID-19 app is now available for iOS users aged 18 or above and can download from App Store, and for those who are on different operating systems can access their newly launched website.

Nokia has got a new Android launcher, named Z Launcher



The Finnish manufacturer for smartphones and tablets, Nokia, acquired by Microsoft has made it's feet back to the Android platform, with the announcement of a homescreen replacement launcher for the operating system, dubbed as the new Z Launcher.

 The application is now available to download via a Limited Pre-Beta Release or in an initial Alpha version, by signing-up with a Google account, from the source link you see below. So, basically the application or launcher for your smartphone's homescreen is said to have "the right apps at the right time". Nokia's new Z Launcher will basically learn the habits, behavior and the way how an user uses his/her smartphone and will act accordingly and promote your favorite applications, right on the homescreen so you can get it faster than ever before, when you want it. The screen of your smartphone will change based on everyday's life and timing, for instance, the launcher will start assisting you at different time periods in a day and night with six different applications, that you are tend to use at that certain time.

 There is also that new feature or gesture control coming with the new Z Launcher, where you can scribble or draw the first letter of a specific application within the handset to bring up a list of apps, url's and contacts starting with the alphabet. You can also find a dock down below, with default apps from smartphone like,  phone, messaging, browser, camera and the application drawer, where you can find all other apps from the smartphone listed in the alphabetical order.

 As for the availability, to be clear, only a limited number of downloads are available at the moment, but unfortunately, it will not support on any of the rooted smartphones out there. Anyways, Nokia has promised us to offer their fresh launcher to everyone, later this year. From the reads, it's mentioned that the Z Launcher is specially optimized for popular Android running devices including, LG Google Nexus 5, Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, Motorola Moto X, HTC One and Sony Xperia Z1. The app currently supports only English language.

Facebook announces Slingshot application, a Snapchat competitor



Facebook's Creative Lab's today has announced their second new application for Android and iOS operating systems, named as Slingshot. The application, that was accidentally released by the Facebook's developers earlier this week in the Google Play Store is now official for the public to download for free of cost on both the platforms.

 Like rumored in the past, the new application will be a competitor for the existing messaging application from the market, like Snapchat for instance, where with the new Facebook's Slingshot too, users will be able to send and receive short length videos and photos that "don’t stick around forever", actually these files will disappear after you viewing them within the new app.

 So to be clear, you will be able to "Sling" a video or photo to a bunch of your friends or one, what you're up to, whom you are with or even a selfie, with some writings and colors over it. In order for your friends to open what you just send, he will have to send/reply you back with a "Sling", meaning a picture or video before they can view what just came in their inbox. Don't get us wrong, you won't be replying the shot with a reaction to whatsoever that just came in, as you are not aware what exists in the video or photo you just received, but only sending back with what you are currently up to or about doing some cool stuff around, to know what your friend just sent you. Following that, users then send reply with a reaction or just swipe it away, which will clear it forever. Seems to be fun and interesting?

Now flash CyanogenMod to your smartphone via a text message, but you must be rooted



How do you like installing custom ROM's like CyanogenMod to your smartphone? Is it with a custom recovery, manually by Fastboot or with tools like Goo Manager? Remember CyanogenMod's Installer application that was available from Google Play before it got pulled due to violation of Google Play's developer terms. Anyways, folks, you people let us know that in the comments section below, but you wouldn't be surprised if we say that you can flash the CyanogenMod custom Read Only Memory or ROM to your handsets through a simple text message.

 Well, a senior member, rootfan from the XDA-Developers forums have introduced a new application named SMS-Romer that lets you flash in and install any builds of CyanogenMod custom ROM to your Android running smartphones that is officially supported with CyanogenMod. But before you get into this setup, let us remind you, that your smartphone must be rooted before you get hands on with this new process. The application currently allows it's users to select between build types, including nightly, stable, release candidate or snapshot. In addition to that, you can also clear and wipe the phone's dalvik cache, system cache and make a factory data reset in the installation process, alongside installing the any particular version of  'Gapps' or 'Google Apps'. It is also said that, you must have TWRP recovery or TWRP2+ installed onto your device at the time of flashing, as the new SMS-Romer application utilizes TWRP's open source ORS like the TWRP Coordinator. Unfortunately the application is not available from Google Play, but you can download it from here or from the XDA-Developers source link, 2.

Themer from MYCOLORSCREEN is back on Google Play



Themer, an application from the creations of MYCOLORSCREEN for Android smartphones had been recently pulled from Google Play Store due to copyright issues from Apple, Inc.

 The Americans had their problems with "Seven" theme, which was a part of the app's built-in automated themes that fell in line with iOS 7 design language, where according to the reports the multinational manufacturer, Apple had claimed that, several icons from this very theme were the main part of the firm's copyright infringement issued to Themer developers. Following the news, the theme was pulled by the developers, alongside the app itself from Google Play stream on night of 2nd of February, this month.

 But fortunately, the application is now back and live in Google Play with no more issues, than users will not be able theme their Android smartphones like iOS devices, as the "Seven" theme seems to be missing it's slot in position of the'Most Popular' category.

Facebook launches Paper, coming to iOS next month



We have been hearing rumors of the Social Media networking giant Facebook's plans of introducing a new application, that will compete with the leaders in the category, like Flipboard and Google's own Newsstand. Today, Facebook, Inc. officially introduces Paper, that will make it's debut on iOS devices starting from 3rd of February, next month.

 Paper is an application that will show you the latest news from your Facebook account, in a more beautiful way than ever before. So, once you open the app, it will take the user through the News Feed first, in a new inspiring way with better designs for photos, videos and longer written stories, alongside you can also customize your Paper with more sections, topics and themes from photography, and sports to food, science and design.

 Some basic function includes some swipes through stories, with simple and natural movements. Also by tilting your phone, the app will let you explore high resolution panoramic photos to edge to edge frames and supports autoplay for videos in fullscreen. Paper from Facebook gives you the permission to preview your written post or shared photo, to how it looks within the app before you click that post button. The Facebook's Paper is the first product made from the company's Creative Lab's, where you will be able to download this application for iPhones from Apple App Store in the United States, starting next month. We still don't have any words for an Android availability, just yet.

doubleTwist AirPlay Recorder will capture iTunes content to your Andorid



Okay, let's not take this as a piracy or anything like that. doubleTwist goes official with a new Android application that will record streaming content from Apple's iTunes Radio. The application is available for free from Google Play and is dubbed at doubleTwist AirPlay Recorder.

The new application basically uses the Apple AirPlay protocol to record anything that is being played on the iTunes Radio. So how does this work? You will have to play something from iTunes on your Mac or PC, by selecting dT Recorder from the AirPlay Device list, from then the streamed audio will automatically get downloaded to your Android smartphone or tablet. As much as the application is concerned, this is a real-time process, so a four minutes song will take full four minutes to get download, the duration may vary depending upon your network connection speeds.

To receive high quality recordings via AAC VBR mode, you will have to pay a little amount to the developer through a in-app premium upgradation. "Recording has been around for decades, from audio cassettes (remember mix tapes?) to TuneIn radio's recording feature. Given that Apple built their iPod empire on letting millions of people rip CDs based on fair use, we don't see how they could object to this app," said the company's Co-Founder and President Monique Farantzos.

Bump application for iOS and Android to be pulled from respective stores



Bump and Flock being the Google owned applications for both iOS and Android smartphones that makes file and payment sharing easy between platforms. The American search giant Google took possession of Bump back in September, and now plans to shut-down their business of content and money sharing.

Bump's Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) David Lieb, made the news clear on his blog that the applications will be pulled officially from Apple App Store and Google Play Store respectively on January 31st, 2014. It is also said that the users of their app is given time until the end of the month for exporting their personal data like photos, videos and certain files.

"We are now deeply focused on our new projects within Google, and we’ve decided to discontinue Bump and Flock. On January 31, 2014, Bump and Flock will be removed from the App Store and Google Play. After this date, neither app will work, and all user data will be deleted," added Lieb.

MyGlass application was available on Apple's App Store, before it got pulled a while ago



Google's MyGlass application was available for free to download in the Apple's App Store, for iOS powered devices to control the $1500 worth fashionable and wearable American's technology.

 As we are aware of what the application basically does, as seen on an Android smartphone application. The MyGlass app for iOS too allows it's users to initial setup the Glass, manage data networks and synced Glassware application's like the Google Search, Google+ and Gmail, locate a missing device using Google Maps, mirroring of what you see through the Glass to the display of your iPhone and it also assists in adding or removing certain contacts.

 But unfortunately, the app is no more available in App Store, as it was removed by Google or Apple a while ago. We are still unclear of what made this happen all of a sudden.

 Update: Following the recent XE12 update to the Glass, Google refreshed their support webpage and promises to bring the application back to Apple's App Store later this week.

CyanogenMod Installer application pulled from Google Play Store!



It was announced a few weeks back, from then CyanogenMod, Inc witnessed thousands of downloads of the company's custom firmware on a number of it's users, including us, when their app was official in the Google Play Store.

But now things have changed folks, hours back we saw CyanogenMod developers voluntarily pulling out the application from the Android market place, the Google Play. According to Google, the application led it's users to violate the warranty of their devices by basically rooting their supported handsets in the process. We also heard that Google acknowledged that the app did not violate their store's terms of service, where the developer was asked to remove the app before Google lets it forcefully down.

Today, we were contacted by the Google Play Support team to say that our CyanogenMod Installer application is in violation of Google Play’s developer terms.
They advised us to voluntarily remove the application, or they would be forced to remove it administratively. We have complied with their wishes while we wait for a more favorable resolution.
To those unfamiliar with the application, it has a single function – to guide users to enable “ADB”, a built in development and debugging tool, and then navigates the user to the desktop installer. The desktop application then performs the installation of the CyanogenMod on their Android device.
After reaching out to the Play team, their feedback was that though application itself is harmless, and not actually in violation of their Terms of Service, since it ‘encourages users to void their warranty’, it would not be allowed to remain in the store.

But as to fortunate for all the custom ROM lovers, the CyanogenMod Installer application is still downloadable and accessible from the company's own domain, where you will be able to sideload it to any supported Android running devices. CyanogenMod, Inc also made a promise to submit their app to the Amazon and Samsung App stores soon.

WhatsApp finally makes it to Nokia Asha smartphones

 Today we hear that the Nokia Asha 501 is to hit an over-the-air update this week, making the popular app available for download on the Nokia Asha platform. The optimized application for Asha 501 will allow you to send and receive text, voice, image and video messages over 2G and WiFi networks, where WhatsApp notification can also be read via Fastlane homescreen on your Asha handsets.

 As said this, WhatsApp messaging application will come pre-installed on the lately announced Nokia Asha 500, Asha 502 and Asha 503.

Google Play Music for iOS devices is here



If we haven't gone wrong, on a fine Friday over the past month, October, we had reported you that the American multinational corporation, Apple is testing a Beta version of Google's own Music Streaming application, the Google Play Music on their company's iOS devices.

 And as folks, yesterday both America's manufacturing and searching giant's went officially introducing Google Play Music, an application that plays and shares the music you love, now from your iPhones and iPods, as an iPad's app is in works, said Google.

CyanogenMod Installer application is now official in Google Play



CyanogenMod Installer is finally here in the Google Play Store to ease the long installation process of the very popular custom firmware ROM on a number of average user's Android smartphones.

 Yesterday CyanogenMod, Inc went officially announcing their previously reported application to the Android application's mega store, the Google Play. But, the app alone wont do the trick for you, indeed, the users of the new CyanogenMod Installer will require a Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable and a Windows Personal Computer (PC) running Vista or above in it's operating system's side.

 Once you install the new app, you will receive a set of basic instructions, like to turn on the USB Debugging from the handset's Developer options, from then you will forwarded to the company's official webpage for downloading the required software for your Windows PC. Following a few more steps, you will successfully be able to flash the CyanogenMod ROM on your Android smartphone. Unfortunately, the ROM is only applicable to a number compatible devices for now.

Instagram finally making it's way to Windows Phone



It was not only WhatsApp that was talked in today's Nokia's Press Event, but also the very long awaited, the world's popular and one of the best photo sharing application, Instagram which is soon to make it's appearance officially on Windows Phone or the Windows Phone Store to be exact.

Users of 6tag application (an unofficial full support Instagram client) on Windows Phone can now switch to the official app in a few weeks, as Instagram's CEO and Co-Founder, Kevin Systrom today confirmed that Windows Phone will get their treatment of this application in the coming days. "Our ultimate goal is to bring Instagram to everyone who wants to use it," added Systrom.
