Protect yourself from Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The best way to prevent the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic illness is by avoiding your exposure to the virus. Clean your hands often, use soap and water for at least 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol to clean your hands more frequently.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands or after being in the public.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Maintain a safe distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community.
Stay home if you’re sick and take help from local health authorities and medical professionals.
Make sure to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow when you cough or sneeze. Properly dispose the used tissues in the trash, and immediately clean your hands with soap and water or a hand sanitizer.
Wear a face mask if you are sick or if you are around other people (e.g., sharing a room or vehicle) and before you enter a healthcare provider’s office. Do not wear a face mask unless you are caring for someone who is sick.

Sony and TCL Corporation cancels their MWC press conferences as well


Last week we heard about ZTE and LG cancelling their upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) press conferences in concern over the novel Coronavirus outbreak, considering the global emergency declared by the World Health Organisation (WHO) on the rising situation of the epidemic. Today we see a similar move from Sony and TCL as well. Sony have issued a new statement, announcing that, they have "taken the difficult decision to withdraw from exhibiting and participating at MWC 2020 in Barcelona, Spain." According to the manufacturer, they are closely monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak across the world and have decided to cancel their plans on attending the exhibition, giving "the utmost importance on the safety and well-being of our customers, partners, media and employees." Evidently, Sony will still go ahead with their launch event as a livestream at 8:30 AM (local time) as planned on February 24, via their official Xperia YouTube channel.

 As for the partially state-owned Chinese multinational electronics company, TCL Corporation, they have also confirmed the cancellation and withdrawal from exhibiting in their scheduled MWC 2020 global press event, which was planned for February 22, due to the concerns over the widespread of the virus. The manufacturer shared the latest update on their official Twitter handle, however letting us know that, the decision from the phone maker will not impact their MWC 2020 plans and will still debut their latest mobile devices and showcase them at their booth in Hall 3, Stand 3D11 between the dates of February 24 and February 27. Other companies who have joined the list are Amazon, Ericsson, and NVIDIA, who also dropped their MWC activities, keeping the present situation in mind.

Amazon finally announces Fire smartphone



At their event yesterday, the world's largest online retailer and American international electronic commerce company from Seattle, Washington, United States, has announced the firm's first ever self designed smartphone in the game, named as Amazon Fire.

 The new smartphone from Amazon will come with fresh breakthrough innovations, like Dynamic Perspective, Firefly button, and more. The handset also showcases over 33 Million songs, application, games, movies, TV shows, books and more. The company also boasts it to be the only smartphone in the present world to feature Mayday, ASAP (Advanced Streaming and Prediction), X-Ray technology and a Second Screen.

 So, to get a bit into the deeps of the handset, the new Dynamic Perspective, is said to allow the users of the smartphone to interact with the world in a whole new way, with the help of the new sensor system on board, making your Amazon Fire phone to react to the way you are holding, viewing and even moving it. The sensor system uses the company four new ultra-low power specialized cameras and four infrared LED's on each four corners of the smartphone's front side, also a custom processor, real-time computer vision and a new high performing and low power consuming graphics rendering engine. This lets it's users take advantage of their one-handed gestures, where the auto-scroll feature will allow users to browse web pages or books without the need to touch the screen, and the tilt facility will let you show the lyrics of Amazon Music, a swivel will immediately reveal quick action buttons and lastly the peek in the Map application displays layered information including, Yelp ratings and reviews.

 Then comes the Firefly technology, which combines Amazon's wide catalog of both physical and digital contents with multiple set of images, text and audio recognition technologies, that will let the users of an Amazon Fire device use it's camera and microphone to rapidly recognize things in the real life, like for instance, web addresses and email addresses, phone numbers, QR codes and bar codes, movies, music, and a number of other products, all you need to do is press and hold the dedicated Firefly button, featured on the unit's side.

 According to the Press Release we read, Amazon has already made available the SDK of their Dynamic Perspective for developers, so that they can build upon it and make new ways to use Amazon's latest and advanced tech in their applications. They have also let us know that, later this year, Firefly will eventually introduce artwork recognition, foreign language translation, and wine label recognition, which will be powered by Vivino.

 There is also the new introduction of Mayday feature, now available over 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi networks, 24 by 7, 365 days a year, completely free of charge. So after getting to the Mayday button in quick actions list, an Amazon expert will appear via a live video conversation, to help the customers with any new feature on the device. The experts you are talking with will be able to draw on the screen of your smartphone, to make you better understand and also talk to you personally through some how to do tasks. As as stated by the company, Amazon’s response time expected to connect you with their expert is 15 seconds or less, but fortunately enough, since the phone has launch the handset is connecting with an average time of 9.75 seconds.



And now when coming to the newly announced smartphone's hardware, the phone is made out of premium materials, with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and back, aluminium physical buttons, with details being crafted with stainless steel and a rubberized polyurethane or rubber added grip area or frame on the sides.

 In term of the internal specifications, the Fire will sport a Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, clocked at 2.2GHz and an Adreno 330 Graphics Processing Unit, 4.7-inches High Definition IPS LCD screen of 1280 x 720 resolution display, marked at 315 pixels-per-inch, with ambient light sensors and Dynamic Image Contrast, which will offer better outdoor viewing under sunlight. The smartphone packs 32 and 64 gigabytes of internal mass storage options, two gigabytes of Random Access Memory, a custom-tuned 13 megapixels main shooter on the back with backside illumination, five-element f/2.0 lens, Optical Image Stabilization, LED flash light and a 2.1 megapixels secondary front facing snapper, both camera are capable of capturing videos at 1080p resolution. Amazon Fire also features dual stereo speaker with Dolby Digital Plus technology and for connectivity, it supports Bluetooth 4.0 and Near Field Communication (NFC), global 4G LTE network, with nine bands of LTE, four bands of GSM. Amazon's new release will come out of the box with a 2,400mAh powered battery and runs Fire OS 3.5.0 based on Android operating system, but unfortunately the device will not have any access to Google's services, like other Android phones in the market. The unit is measured at 139.2 x 66.5 x 8.9 millimeters in dimensions and weighs 160 grams on mass.

 As far as it's availability is taken to concern, the phone will start it's shipment from 25th of next month, July. The Amazon Fire will be exclusively available from AT&T stores nationwide, where they will sell the 32 gigs model for a price of $199 with no up-front cost, on a two year contract, at $27.09 per month, and the 64 gigs model will cost you $100 more, in the same contract period of two years, at $31.25 per month, both from AT&T on Next18.

Amazon notes record weekend sales for Kindle tablets



The American international electronic commerce company have it's numbers of sales to a record collection point on the weekend between Black Friday and Cyber Monday following the Thanksgiving day in United States.

 As usual, the numbers are kept as a private secret by Aamzon, the company's domain marked it's remarkable sales with it's slates, the Kindle Fire HDX's seven-inches variant and Kindle Fire HD being the best-sellers on these days.

 According to the sources, back in 2011, the Americans marked the day as, "Best Black Friday Ever of Kindle Family", where in 2012 the they noted the weekend as "Worldwide Kindle Device Sales More Than Double Last Year's Record Over Holiday Weekend Shopping" and this year "Record Holiday Shopping Weekend for Kindle."

HTC to manufacture future Amazon smartphones



We hear rumors and see sources claiming the American international electronics commerce company, Amazon have partnered with the Taiwanese manufacturer of smartphones and tablets, the High Tech Computer for the creation of upcoming Amazon smartphones.

 According to the reported sources, three different devices are in development in the HTC plants, where one of it have entered into the advanced stage of works. We previously also read rumors of the American's plans of building two new smartphones, one with the newly rumored 3D interface and one was reportedly being offered for free. Accordingly as dates moved, Amazon exec's made it clear that the company is not offering any smartphones this year neither anything for free to anyone.

 There's still no official words yet from both these company's on these rumored statements of their partnership for future Amazon smartphones. But the HTC's Chief of Marketing, Ben Ho responded like this, "We have been very focused on building our own brand, but we have also been very open to co-branding and collaborating with carriers and other technology brands."

Amazon's new Kindle Fire HD 2 leaks in real images



As the United States based international multibillion dollar electronic commerce company, Amazon is about to unveil their upcoming second generation Kindle Fire HD 2 and the third generation Kindle Fire Slate in a few weeks, one of the company's tablet leaks in a few live photos.



When we run our eyes on the leaked reports, the above shots are of the American's yet to be announced Kindle Fire HD 2, which the company has re-engineered and re-designed to be more sleek and stylish in the tablet's hardware section. What your seeing in the above images are reportedly to be the company's seven-incher slate, where else Amazon is also preparing a 8.9-inch variant of the tablet.

 We also saw the specifications of this Kindle Fire HD 2 leaking last month, but to give you a quick reminder, the tablet is expected to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, clocked above 2GHz, seven-inch High Definition screen of 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution, 16, 32 and 64 gigabytes of internal storage options, 2 gigs of RAM and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on board.

 And according to the 8.9-inch variant, we are reported it to carry out the same specs from its sibiling, but with higher resolution screen of 2560 x 1600 pixel density and an eight megapixels front-facer add-on.

 The Amazon Kindle Fire HD 2 is expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks, but, as we always say, these are just leaks, rumors and speculations, we have to wait until the company actually announcing their devices officially.
