A new speculation has arrived from the Nokia community that the HMD Global owned Finnish manufacturer is reportedly working on a successor for their Nokia 9 PureView flagship smartphone, which was announced back in February, 2019. We don't have any substantial evidence to support or confirm any of these newly surfaced rumors yet, but the media claims that these reports have made it's way from a trusted source who have a reputable record. So talking about the device, the alleged refresher come frontrunner from the phone maker is likely to be named as Nokia 9.2 PureView. The handset is rumored to carry the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor on board that features X55 Modem-RF system capable of supporting both 5G and 4G networks. We may have a bezel-less display incorporating a secondary front facing camera sensor of 48 megapixels as well. The device expected to support wireless charging and following the late trend, it should drop the 3.5mm headphone jack, unluckily. However there are no words on the phone's main camera module but the device is anticipated to arrive sometime after June 20.
It was also stated that Nokia has canceled some of it's upcoming projects for the future including new accessories like a mini projector, selfie light, power bank, fitness tracker, two smartwatches and a mini printer. Apparently the sources mentioned that, they are testing and working on some modern wireless charger pods, but again we have no evidence to exhibit the matter of fact. It is also worth mentioning that we shouldn't be surprised to see the Nokia 9.2 PureView turn out to be the first foldable smartphone from the company, and launch as early as next month at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) show floor, in Barcelona, Spain along with a new Nokia-branded wearable unit.
The current situation in China with the Coronavirus epidemic will also impact the shipping and manufacturing of upcoming and existing Nokia devices, but as HMD Global is planning to focus on more production from India, with Europe, rest of Asia, Latin America, Australia, United States and New Zealand to follow in order to reduce the labor force in China.
