There are some new reports making rounds that claims the latest smartphone made by the Chinese multinational technology company, Huawei no longer consists of hardware parts made by the United States. This move from the Shenzhen based phone maker came as a result of Huawei's trade ban in the Stateside, as the American lawmakers had considered the Chinese brand to be a security threat to the country and avoided using it's products. Following this development, we even heard that the company had reduced its dependence on US companies for manufacturing their core products. Ever since the allegations first surfaced, Huawei apparently started their research for suppliers outside the United States for manufacturing the hardware components and also started to develop their own substitution.
And now according to a recent analysis from the UBS and Fomalhaut Techno Solutions, our sources confirmed that the latest Huawei Mate 30 Pro contains no American made parts in them. We also learn that the people from China have considered the Japanese manufacturer Murata to manufacture network chips along with their own subsidiary HiSilicon that manufacturers the hardware components used in the brand's smartphones from now on. Unlike before, the firm has reportedly closed all their deals with American companies like Qorvo and Skyworks who were in charge to make these chips that debuted on Huawei smartphones over the past years. It is also reported that the company has stopped using the WiFi and Bluetooth chips manufactured by Broadcom, which is another American designer and developer of semiconductor and infrastructure software products. We even heard that there were some serious speculations that the Americans were trying to force the government of Taiwan to allegedly stop TSMC, the ever popular Taiwanese Semiconductor Manufacturing Company from making units for Huawei, but later we saw these forecast get denied by the Taiwan government official.
Our sources also report that it's not just smartphones that Huawei is making American-free but also their networking equipment gear around the world. As you may assume, the brand is producing 5G base stations without components or software used from the United States. Huawei is one of the biggest players in mass producing these 5G network bases but the new drift in business with the Americans has reportedly slowed down their production to only 5,000 per month, but we read that by next year Huawei should be able to build about 125,000 5G base stations on monthly basis.
"All of our 5G is now America-free. We would like to continue using American components, It’s good for American industry. It’s good for Huawei. That has been taken out of our hands," said John Suffolk, Cyber security official from Huawei.Source: THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, phoneArena.com
