On Friday, HTC's former Senior Executive and Vice President of Product Design, Thomas Chien and five other employees from the Taiwanese company has been charged for leaking company secrets, taking kickbacks and falsifying expense reports.
According to the sources, Chien, being the designer head of HTC's most popular and 2013's flagship handset One is now indicted by the Taiwanese Court for reportedly leaking the upcoming Sense User Interface 6.0 designs to a partner/friend whom he had planned to start a new business with in the future. As investigation took place, it was also confirmed that he gathered about New Taiwanese Dollars 33,566,00 (around 1.12 Million United Sates Dollars) by faulty expense statements and kick-backing the suppliers.
Following the case, the quarter amount of loot money was found inside Thomas Chien's car (Audi) and the rest of the cash was then taken away from the former official later, where the fraud is now offered with sentence by the Court.
