Protect yourself from Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The best way to prevent the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic illness is by avoiding your exposure to the virus. Clean your hands often, use soap and water for at least 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol to clean your hands more frequently.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands or after being in the public.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Maintain a safe distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community.
Stay home if you’re sick and take help from local health authorities and medical professionals.
Make sure to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow when you cough or sneeze. Properly dispose the used tissues in the trash, and immediately clean your hands with soap and water or a hand sanitizer.
Wear a face mask if you are sick or if you are around other people (e.g., sharing a room or vehicle) and before you enter a healthcare provider’s office. Do not wear a face mask unless you are caring for someone who is sick.

We had reported your about the Blackphone from the labs of Geeksphone and Silent Circle, back in January. It was said the companies to bring along their highly secure smartphone to the Mobile World Congress trade show, as everything just went right.

 The new Blackphone runs a customized and modified version of Android's platform, named PrivatOS, that has been developed with high level security. Blackphone from Geeksphone and Silent Circle is the world's first smartphone that prioritizes user privacy and control, basically allowing you to make and receive phone calls over a secure database, letting users to exchange texts, store in files, do a video chat, all on really securely. The handset will browse through the web privately and anonymize any activity on the phone with a totally secure custom VPN.

 Other internal specifications talk about a 2GHz Quad-Core processor, 4.7-inches High Definition screen of IPS technology, 16 gigabytes of internal memory, two gigabytes of Random Access Memory (RAM), high quality front and rear eight megapixels camera with LED flash light, Bluetooth 4.0 and 4G LTE network connectivity on board, running Android based PrivatOS. The handset has also got applications like Silent Phone, Silent Text and Silent Contacts from the list of Silent Circle built apps, as well as Firewall, Activation Wizard and Remote Wipe applications made by Blackphone itself, including other third party apps like, Disconnect Secure Wireless, SpiderOak Blackphone Edition and Kismet Smart Wi-Fi Manager.

 The companies have opened their lines of pre-orders, where you can grab one at a price of 629 United States Dollars, each, off-contract. Shipping will begin by early June.

Geeksphone Revolution steps into sales



The Android powered handset with an Alternative OS on board is here for the public consumers, from the makers know for manufacturing something different each time, the Geeksphone Revolution. Today the company has brought up the phone for sales from the official domain.

 As said previously, the phone will come out of it's box with a Dual-Core 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 Central Processing Unit (CPU), a 4.7-inches IPS qHD screen of 960 x 540 resolution display, four gigabytes of internal storage with one gigabyte of Random Access Memory (RAM), an eight megapixels main camera on the back with LED flash light, capable of capturing 1080p videos at 30 frames-per-second and a two megapixels front facer, 3G HSPA connectivity support, a 2,000mAh powered battery and maintaining Android as it's primary operating system, compensating Boot2Gecko by Mozilla, featuring Firefox OS side by side, with a neat dual-boot interface setup. The handset can also read any community supported ROM's, by allowing users to update them over-the-air.

 The smartphone is now available for grabs from the Spanish company's webpage at a price of 222 Euros, which is around 305 United States Dollars, where the firm offers international shipping.

Geeksphone Revolution will come with Android and Alternative OS



We heard it coming from our Editor Mustafa the past month, the new Geeksphone will be powered with a Intel chip inside. At times we also read about the smartphone to feature Mozilla Firefox operating system, but this time around we see the handset to sport an Alternative OS out of the box with Android platform as their primary stand.

 Basically, the Geeksphone will run on new Boot2Gecko by Mozilla, (as Mozilla till date don't approve any certification process to their Firefox OS for any other independent manufacturers, do the Geeksphone Revolution is not yet licensed to use Firefox's branding or logo), accordingly the phone can give some power to the Firefox OS with this new software, dual-booting alongside the unspecified Android version. The people from the company also made it clear that their smartphone will support any community supported ROM with a user-friendly graphical interface and by also letting it's users to receive over-the-air updates from any database.

Blackphone is coming with PrivatOS based on Android, stays secure in hands



Is your smartphone that secure you really want it to be like? Well, a team up between Geeksphone and Silent Circle have resulted in creation of a highly secure smartphone and OS database, named Blackphone.

The new handset will run PrivatOS, a custom developed operating system with much higher security based on Google's own Android, where it is said to be the world's first smartphone that prioritizes user privacy and control. Blackphone will allow you to make and receive secure phone calls, exchange secure texts, exchange and store secure files, have secure video chat, browse privately and anonymize any activity on the phone with a totally secure custom VPN. Accordingly as said in their domain, the device will be sold unlocked that'll work on any GSM carrier and the phone will show great scores in benchmarks when compared to any other high-end smartphones in the market.

Unfortunately, the unit's internal specification listings are not yet reveled, nor the info regarding it's availability and pricing, but the new solid and shielded smartphone will come in attendance of the public at next month's Mobile World Congress expo that'll be held in Barcelona, Spain as promised by both the companies.

Geeksphone Revolution will come with an Intel SoC



The Spanish manufacturer, Geekphone has unveiled a new smartphone with the 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 chipset named Geekphone Revolution. There is a shift this time by the Geekphones to use the Intel processor rather than the Qualcomm ones. This device is rumored to run Morzilla's firefox operating system.

Along with the SoC, it is rumored to come with 4.7-inches IPS screen with the resolution of 540 x 960 display, an expandable storage, 8 megapixels primary camera with LED flash and 2,000mAh powered battery. It is expected that this handset will start shipping in the first quarter of 2014.
