Protect yourself from Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The best way to prevent the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic illness is by avoiding your exposure to the virus. Clean your hands often, use soap and water for at least 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol to clean your hands more frequently.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands or after being in the public.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Maintain a safe distance between yourself and other people if COVID-19 is spreading in your community.
Stay home if you’re sick and take help from local health authorities and medical professionals.
Make sure to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow when you cough or sneeze. Properly dispose the used tissues in the trash, and immediately clean your hands with soap and water or a hand sanitizer.
Wear a face mask if you are sick or if you are around other people (e.g., sharing a room or vehicle) and before you enter a healthcare provider’s office. Do not wear a face mask unless you are caring for someone who is sick.

OnePlus teasing and acknowledging upcoming back panels for One on Twitter



OnePlus start-up manufacturer from China haven't been a successful electronics company when it comes to the consumer availability of their lately announced smartphone, OnePlus One. The phone was announced back in April, where the company is still facing unknown issues in shortage of supplies and delays in shipments, where it is really difficult to find the new device, OnePlus One in the common market.

 Accordingly, it have been really tough to get hold on to their smartphone, as you can only buy the OnePlus One in couple of methods from their official webpage, that is by asking someone who has already bought the phone for an invite, which is like, when you purchase a OnePlus One CyanogenMod running smartphone, you will be receiving invites to give to your friends and relatives. The other way is by entering in several contests and promotional events hosted in their forums, social media channels and also by their partners and friends. Well, but if you have kept an eye on our Blog in the past, you can also grab the device from Chinese online retailer, oppomart, who ships the smartphone worldwide, costing $399.00 for the Silk White 16 GB model and $499.00 for the Sandstone Black 64 gigs version.

 Lamentably, that's not what we are talking about here, but it's about the smartphone's removable back panels. At OnePlus One's announcement, the manufacturer had promised us to feature personalized textured backs that basically replaces the stock material with Bamboo, Wood, Denim and Kevlar, something Motorola had done in the past with their Moto X devices. After couple of months, yesterday the company seems to be teasing an arrival of "KNOCK ON WOOD" on OnePlus's official Twitter account. We see the numbers "7.22", which likely hints an unveiling on 22nd of this month from the Chinese people, tag lining the tweet as, "Wood you like to know more? 7.22".

OnePlus officially announces One, 2014 Flagship Killer and "Never Settle" CyanogenMod phone



Today morning, OnePlus had an event scheduled at their homeland, where we have the phone from the rumor and leaks mill officially unveiled and announced. OnePlus being a start-up company from China, known for producing smartphones, that was founded on 17th of December, 2013 has their first and latest smartphone and the company's 2014 flagship, the OnePlus One introduced. The new phone from the Chinese people will run CyanogenMod's custom ROM version 11S out of the box, which is based on Android's version 4.4 KitKat, also attributing a custom theme engine allowing users to customize the way it looks, where it is also read that the people from the company has been working with the CM team for a while to develop the new neat looking flat minimal User Interface and high-end internal specification.

 Talking about the newly introduced smartphone's design, the handset's is completely flat from it's front and is build with the special material of magnesium, which brings down the OnePlus One's weight to only 162 grams in total, making it the world's lightest 5.5-inches smartphone. The Chinese firm also boasts about their speaker setup, where they quotes it to be the world's first phone to feature bottom facing stereo speakers powered by American audio electronics company, JBL. There is no real branding or logo on the front screen, giving it the premium dark feel, with really narrow and thin bezels on either sides of the display, going beautifully curved and rounded on the four edges.

 The One will rock a Quad-Core Qualcomm 8974AC powered Snapdragon 801 processor, speeding at 2.5GHz with Krait 400 cores, JDI made 5.5-inches Full High Definition screen of 1920 x 1080 resolution display, marked at 401 pixels-per-inches, 16 and 64 gigabytes of internal mass storage option, three gigabytes of LPDDR3 Random Access Memory (RAM), 13 megapixels main camera on the back made of Sony's second generation Exmor IMX214 sensor, with six lenses tech shooting at f/2.0 aperture, with shutter speed as quick as 0.3 seconds, a dedicated LED flash light, taking great shots at low light conditions, recording videos at 4K resolution pixels, a five megapixels front facing secondary camera, capturing videos at 1080p. From the connectivity department, there is Bluetooth 4.0 and fourth generation LTE network support as highlights, a 3,100mAh powered battery life and running CyanogenMod 11S custom ROM over the hood. Other new features include voice activation, smart gestures, and more.

 The phone is measured at 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 millimeters in dimensions, coming to the store shelves in Sandstone Black and Silk White color options. The phone will be widely available in countries starting from Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom to United States, soon. OnePlus's Customer Service team is ready to serve it's users in all launch countries. OnePlus One smartphone will also be available through company based personalized invite system. Currently the 16 GB Silk White OnePlus One is priced at 299 United States Dollars and 64 GB Sandstone Black model will cost you $349.

 Update: The OnePlus's 2014 front runner, One will have personalized textured backs that replaces the stock with Bamboo, Wood, Denim and Kevlar.

Now flash CyanogenMod to your smartphone via a text message, but you must be rooted



How do you like installing custom ROM's like CyanogenMod to your smartphone? Is it with a custom recovery, manually by Fastboot or with tools like Goo Manager? Remember CyanogenMod's Installer application that was available from Google Play before it got pulled due to violation of Google Play's developer terms. Anyways, folks, you people let us know that in the comments section below, but you wouldn't be surprised if we say that you can flash the CyanogenMod custom Read Only Memory or ROM to your handsets through a simple text message.

 Well, a senior member, rootfan from the XDA-Developers forums have introduced a new application named SMS-Romer that lets you flash in and install any builds of CyanogenMod custom ROM to your Android running smartphones that is officially supported with CyanogenMod. But before you get into this setup, let us remind you, that your smartphone must be rooted before you get hands on with this new process. The application currently allows it's users to select between build types, including nightly, stable, release candidate or snapshot. In addition to that, you can also clear and wipe the phone's dalvik cache, system cache and make a factory data reset in the installation process, alongside installing the any particular version of  'Gapps' or 'Google Apps'. It is also said that, you must have TWRP recovery or TWRP2+ installed onto your device at the time of flashing, as the new SMS-Romer application utilizes TWRP's open source ORS like the TWRP Coordinator. OnePlus One Press image and details leaks



The upcoming smartphone, OnePlus One is the first smartphone by the company OnePlus. The smartphone will be officially announced on 23rd April 2014. The company has revealed new 'StyleSwap' covers for the smartphone. We have got it's rumored details and specifications about the device.  


The OnePlus One is expected to come out of the box with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC clocked at 2.5GHz processor, 5.5-inches full HD screen with 1080p display marked at 401ppi, 16GB / 64GB of internal memory, three gigabytes of Random Access Memory, 6-piece 13 megapixels f/2.0 Sony Exmor IMX214 primary camera, 3,100mAh powered battery and runs the latest version of CyanogenMod over the hood. The back camera of the device suggest that it is capable of recording 4K videos and we have some photos leaked which is said to be taken by the OnePlus One.

CyanogenMod Installer application pulled from Google Play Store!



It was announced a few weeks back, from then CyanogenMod, Inc witnessed thousands of downloads of the company's custom firmware on a number of it's users, including us, when their app was official in the Google Play Store.

But now things have changed folks, hours back we saw CyanogenMod developers voluntarily pulling out the application from the Android market place, the Google Play. According to Google, the application led it's users to violate the warranty of their devices by basically rooting their supported handsets in the process. We also heard that Google acknowledged that the app did not violate their store's terms of service, where the developer was asked to remove the app before Google lets it forcefully down.

Today, we were contacted by the Google Play Support team to say that our CyanogenMod Installer application is in violation of Google Play’s developer terms.
They advised us to voluntarily remove the application, or they would be forced to remove it administratively. We have complied with their wishes while we wait for a more favorable resolution.
To those unfamiliar with the application, it has a single function – to guide users to enable “ADB”, a built in development and debugging tool, and then navigates the user to the desktop installer. The desktop application then performs the installation of the CyanogenMod on their Android device.
After reaching out to the Play team, their feedback was that though application itself is harmless, and not actually in violation of their Terms of Service, since it ‘encourages users to void their warranty’, it would not be allowed to remain in the store.

But as to fortunate for all the custom ROM lovers, the CyanogenMod Installer application is still downloadable and accessible from the company's own domain, where you will be able to sideload it to any supported Android running devices. CyanogenMod, Inc also made a promise to submit their app to the Amazon and Samsung App stores soon.

CyanogenMod Installer application is now official in Google Play



CyanogenMod Installer is finally here in the Google Play Store to ease the long installation process of the very popular custom firmware ROM on a number of average user's Android smartphones.

 Yesterday CyanogenMod, Inc went officially announcing their previously reported application to the Android application's mega store, the Google Play. But, the app alone wont do the trick for you, indeed, the users of the new CyanogenMod Installer will require a Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable and a Windows Personal Computer (PC) running Vista or above in it's operating system's side.

 Once you install the new app, you will receive a set of basic instructions, like to turn on the USB Debugging from the handset's Developer options, from then you will forwarded to the company's official webpage for downloading the required software for your Windows PC. Following a few more steps, you will successfully be able to flash the CyanogenMod ROM on your Android smartphone. Unfortunately, the ROM is only applicable to a number compatible devices for now.

Oppo N1 to be shipped with CyanogenMod pre-installed, for a limited period of time



The Chinese based electronics manufacturing corporation Oppo is offering it's customers with a Limited Edition CyanogenMod pre-installed N1 flagship.

 The smartphone will be available from next month, December at the same pricing of the original handset. The phone will boot directly into CyanogenMod ROM out of the box, where else the regular model will be powered with stock Android and company's own ColorOperatingSystem, accordingly the users of the regular models will still be able to flash the custom CyanogenMod ROM without the need of rooting the device.

 What are the phone's specifications all about? The Oppo N1 will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz and Adreno 320 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), 5.9-inches Full 1080p High Definition IPS Multi-touch screen of 1080 x 1920 resolution capacitive display marked at 377 pixels-per-inch in protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 16 and 32 gigabytes of on board storage, 2 gigs of Random Access Memory (RAM), a 13 megapixels primary shooter with dual-mode LED flash light rotating at 206 degrees, that can be used in multiple directions and is capable of capturing 1080p videos, O-Touch Panel on the back and a 3,610mAh powered battery.

 The phone will be available in a special case featuring the company's themed stickers of it's logo 'Sid' as seen in the above picture, also the handset is delivered in a partnership of Oppo and CyanogenMod.

CyanogenMod is now an Incorporate



The most talked about custom ROM makers and one our favorite's, the CyanogenMod is now an Incorporate, now known as CyanogenMod, Inc.

 CyanogenMod has been more in talks and in Android smartphones since last few months, as the company's developers are working hard on polishing the bugs and improving their Android firmware and services. CyanogenMod, Inc. is now led by Boot Mobile's Co-Founder Kirt McMaster, who believes in forming the present custom ROM as an upcoming platform. Some of the previous project's developers are now the company's full-time staffs, including Steve Kondik as the Chief Technology Officer and Koushik Dutta as the Vice President of Engineering.

 The company's next big step will be a release of an official application in the Google Play Store, that'll help in easing the long custom ROM installation process. This installer application is expected to hit Google Play Store in a few weeks.
