BlackBerry's CEO unveils Passport and Classic smartphones to the public



At BlackBerry's Annual Meeting, the Chief Operating Officer of the Canadian smartphones and tablet making company, John Chen shows their two new devices to the Press media present at the event. Well, we may not yet call this an official announcement from BlackBerry, for the smartphones that the CEO showed a couple of days back, but he definitely unveiled what's yet to come from this manufacturer next.

And with this two new releases, the firm is trying to hold back their position in the global smartphone market, it's not everywhere you see people carrying a BB handset, like it did in the past. But unfortunately, we haven't got our hands on to the complete list of it's internal specification details of the devices you see from both above and below photographs, just yet.



So, first is an 'awkward' looking handsome smartphone, named BlackBerry Passport, which has got an interesting shape and hardware. The phablet like new phone is more than just the squared word, packing a 4.5-inches capacitive square touchscreen of 1400 x 1400 resolution display, and a three row hardware physical QWERTY keyboard below the handset. The phone is expected to sport an improved Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC with 4G LTE network capability and running BlackBerry operating system 10.1 out of the box. The phone is tipped to arrive later this year, we hear some dates of the month September.



Another units is dubbed as the new BlackBerry Classic, which is a successor handset to the company's previously announced smartphone from their 'Q' line-up of devices, which includes the high-end Q10 and middle-ranged Q5. BlackBerry shows off Z3 and Q20 at their MWC event



The Canadian smartphone and operating system manufacturer, BlackBerry is back to the markets, as the company's new Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman, John Chen introduces, the new Z3 and Q20 handsets at their Mobile World Congress trade show event, held yesterday.

As said by the firm's CEO in position, the new Z3 smartphone is BlackBerry's first ever phone that'll make it to the Taiwanese Foxconn's network, in a strategic partnership, announced back in December, 2013. The Z3 attributes some apps like BlackBerry Hub, BBM, BlackBerry Keyboard, Time Shift & Story Maker, BlackBerry 10 Browser, Instant Previews & Reply, Fast, Easy Sharing, FM Radio and more. The handset is expected to show up on most of the major carriers around Indonesia, staring April.

Lastly, the BlackBerry Q20, bringing back the old Menu, Back, Send and End hardware buttons along with their integrated trackpad to 2014, featuring a 3.5-inches capacitive touchscreen, which is currently the largest one announced from the BlackBerry QWERTY phones fleet. Other internals specifications of the phone is disclosed at the moment, only saying about a large battery for better battery life and premium material used in making it more reliable and durable. BlackBerry have no plans to introduce Google Play Store, but will run Android apps instead



While we have a few images of BlackBerry manufactured Z10 running the Google Play Store application, leaked a couple of days ago. Following the allegations, pilled up a number of rumors too. But to put a full stop on this case, one of the company's spokesperson have now moved all speculations out of it's way.

As he made it clear that the new update to the Canadian's operating system will pack the Android Runtime (ART), and will support installations and running of Google's platform Android based applications on BlackBerry 10 devices.

"There is no planned support for Google Play on BlackBerry. BlackBerry World remains the primary source for trusted and curated BlackBerry applications and we continue to support open standards and open source tools so BlackBerry developers can continue to create great apps on any of the development platforms we support," said the officials.

And as seen before, exactly what happened on the Z10, users with the BlackBerry update 10.2.1.1055 will be able to open up apk. files from the smartphone's file manager and install the application, without the need of converting the file to a BlackBerry optimized bar. format.

Believe it or not folks! But what you see above is a few live images of a BlackBerry Z10 featuring Google Play Store. Even though it is very difficult to say whether this is a "Hocus Pocus" by the Adobe's great 'Photoshop' application or to believe what your eyes witness's. Do you remember the BlackBerry A10, that was in the rumor and leak files all long back a few months ago? Well today, BlackBerry Limited, the Canadian telecommunication and wireless equipment company has officially announced a new smartphone to their 'Z' line-up, the Z30.

Specifications wise, the BlackBerry Z30 packs a Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.7GHz with Adreno 320 GPU as well, a five-inch Super AMOLED 720p display of 1280 x 720 resolution, 16 gigabytes of internal storage (expandable via microSD card slot), 2 gigs of RAM, eight megapixels primary shooter and two megapixels front-facer, a 2,880mAh powered battery, and 4G LTE capabilities. 

The phone runs the company's latest Operating System 10.2 on board. We still have no details on the smartphone's availability or pricing yet.
